Just curious if anyone on BB read comics, besides Angel & Faith, and Buffy. I do personally, and have finally cut down the amount I read to 7 different comics. I read, Batman, Superman, Fantastic Four, FF, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, Justice League, and Gambit.

So I was just curious if anyone else read comics, and was looking for people to have comic discussions with. So if you do read comics, what comics do you read and why? :]

yeah totally, i read ghost rider, batman, spiderman, Japanese manga. any comic that takes my fancy really.

I read the Smallville season 11 comics. I've also starting reading the Ultimate Spiderman, and a few Superman and Batman comics.

I'm about as big a comic fan as you'll find. I follow DC and Marvel really extensively. I don't buy single issues though, I pretty much get all my comics in trade form (I love getting them in nice hardcover editions) from Amazon, where the prices are vastly lower.

The titles I read from DC (since the 52/Flashpoint reboot, where I've added more, much to the chagrin of my wallet, or at least the first volume), on a regular basis are:
Batman, Batman & Robin, Detective Comics, Superman, Action Comics, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Justice League, Teen Titans, Flash, Nightwing, Catwoman and Superboy.

I'm also giving Blue Beetle, Green Lantern New Guardians and Aquaman a shot since the relaunch.

From Marvel:
Avengers, New Avengers, Captain America, Winter Soldier,

--I don't really follow independent comics though. I get all the Buffy and Angel comics, but that's about it. My comic dream is that Joss Whedon will someday move Buffy/Angel from Dark Horse to DC or Marvel. That would be incredible!

--As a side not, pretty much anything written by Geoff Johns, Brian Michael Bendis, Judd Winick or Ed Brubaker I'll give a shot. Those three or absolutely phenomenal. On the artist side, Jim Lee is a major draw for me (he's drawing Justice League), along with Ethan Van Sciver. Also, any major events from either company (crossovers like Civil War, Infinite Crisis or Siege), I'll get. They're always a lot of fun, and the build towards them (particularly in Marvel) is almost always superb. I absolutely can not wait for Avengers vs. X-Men to come out in hardcover!

I read some of Dynamite's Mars comics, based loosely on Burroughs' John Carter series, but it was just too much of a T&A magazine, rather than an action series for my taste. Also, I read the "Death Of Superman" and "Resurrection Of Superman" miniseries, and, of course, Whedon's "Fray" series. I haven't tried anything else.

Sure I do but I'm not much of a cape fan. Some favourites of mine a Buffy fan might find interesting:

Everything by Terry Moore. Rachel Rising, Echo and Strangers in Paradise. In a way SiP was Buffy before there was Buffy, strong female characters, focus on love and friendship between the core characters and that 90s magic, you know. Yeah, it's a bit too soapy for my tastes but the characters make it worthwhile. Echo and Rachel are soap free though.

The Sword by Luna Brothers. It's a revenge story but holy shit, what revenge it is. Dara, the main character, is ridiculously hellbent, strong, human and absolutely unstoppable in her rage.

Promethea - Allan Moore teaches you all about magic like the wizard he is. Let's just say a certain canon comic about a certain vampire hunter was most certainly "inspired" by this book. Fantastic art by J. H. Williams III.

Wonder Woman. Not much of a cape fan and not a Wondy fan either but Azzarello's run is simply incredible. He's doing his thing. Great stuff, especially if you're a Greek mythology buff.

I'm not really an American comics fan. I mean, I like the movies, and I read the encyclopedias (strangely addicting, by the way), but I just can't get into comics. They're too... inconsistent? I've read V for Vendetta. That's a graphic novel, though.

I'm a big fan of Japanese manga.

I started reading comics a little over a year ago and have really been enjoying them so far. It has been a really fun world to dive into and explore.

Currently I'm reading: Batgirl, Wonder woman, Justice League, Nightwing, Daredevil, Men of War, Angel and Faith and Buffy.

I've gotten into comics ever since Buffy Season Eight! It was an excellent stepping stone for me. I curently read Batwoman, Saga (by Brian K. Vaughan), Angel & Faith, Buffy, and Ultimate Spiderman. Right now I'm going through Gotham Central and it's great.
