Commander in Chief (The TV Series)

Did anyone watch this program? I love it, I find it really interesting, with a great cast. It's on ABC1 over here (A channel high up in the sky guide, and only has like 6 shows!) But Commander in chief is one of them, It's only finishing up over here, the last episode will be on next week. I was surprised to find out it was cancelled, but I just found out they are making a Television Movie (Apparently they actually happen, not just talk!!)

This has been one of my favourite new shows in a long while.
The Idea was so simple but very effective.
A Female President - Dare we Dream!!!
I loved that Geena Davis was the lead, cause her career has been waning of recent years, and i suppose if its been cancelled that it still might be.
Donald Sutherland is one of my all time favourite actors too.
I thought his role as Templeton was awesome, cause although he was the 'villain' of the show, he actually wasn't a bad guy, he did believe he had the good of the country in mind, and i guess he'd have been a good President.
AND Zach Morris!!!!!
I swear when 'Dickie' came onto the show, I was like...euugh, its that guy from 'Saved By The Bell' but he was actually pretty cool too.

I loved this show, saddened its been cancelled, but i hope we get the TV movie over here, cause i'm hoping it will be 'The Next Election' and i'm SOOO hoping Mac and Jim win their first full term....that would be soo cool.

WHY DON'T YOU WEST WING FANS TUNE INTO THIS!!!!

The show got axed because it could not keep a producer. The first one quit over creative differences, Bochco was brought in and as it was stated "NYPD Blues'd it" which confused the fans. So by the time the 3rd producer came in he had to deal with a long break and by then the fans gave up on the show.
The worst thing about this is that Bochco left Over There on FX which got it canceled only to loose this hit show. IMO Bochco made a huge mistake leaving FX because Over There was a damn good show whereas I found CIC a very mediocre show

I saw a few of these, well i caught the first one by mistake then the others cos i found it quite funny (in the derogitry sense)

It's like the West Wing but with everything that made it amazing removed.

why is the idea of a female President treated like such an "amazing" thing? i mean how many western nations have had a female head of state or elected offical?

Irelands only had female presidents since 1990, so you've got kids there who've never known anything different.

and Queenies been around since the dawn of time but Thatcher hang in there for a while [ok... bad example 😉]

so yeah... i can't see it being such a big thing, if the writing had focused more on good stories rather than treating this idea as "so amazing" and making jokes about the "First Husband"

I only watched it because I loved Kyle Secor. but other than him it was bland
