Commercial Advertizing On The Boards?

I've noticed lately that when I'm reading a post that there will be a word underlined, and if I land my pointer on that word, without even clicking, some random advertizement pops up. This doesn't happen with every underlined word, but I've noticed it several times. My question is, has anyone else noticed that? Does the Buffy Boards now have "commercials," or is this something that is in my computer, like some kind of malware or something?

I haven't noticed that either. Normall if it's underlined it's a hyperlink but I don't know why it's be linked to adverts :/

It is possible that it's an addon that Darla has added to help with the cost of running the board. With the bandwidth this place uses, and the fact that she pays out of pocket to pay for the board, I wouldn't blame her for letting sponsors pay to run ads on the board.

I haven't had an issue WA and it really sounds like a Malware Virus type of problem so I'd clean the system ASAP

What browser are you using, I'd say you've been affected by some adware

This was happening to me when I used Internet Explorer, when I switched over to Google Chrome they went away. With what it is showing up, is it being provided by something 'Sushi'?

Nope it has never happened to me so I would guess that it's browser related too. 🙂

I haven't, but my ad blocker could be preventing this...or it could be the browser that you're using.

Yup I've never had this problem either, but I've never used Internet Explorer. I used Firefox up until I got Chrome.

Just as an update, I checked my computer with Spyhunter, and the problem seems to have disappeared. BB is commercial free for me once more.

That's you - check for toolbars you installed and things like that. I would never do that to you 🙂
