So I'm reading this book Zeitoun for school, and at one point in the book, a character name Jennifer Callendar 😱 made an appearance. Obviously not our Jenny Callendar (because this is a true story), but I got really excited.

Then I started wondering....has anyone else had an experience like this? An experience where a Whedon-verse character name showed up somewhere completely random? Who and where? Now I am so curious.... 😀
 
Sometimes in my job I have to check IDs - driving licences, passports etc. A couple of months ago I served a customer and had to look at his licence... his name was William Pratt.

I know Pratt is not necessarily William's surname, but it's quite universally accepted as canon, so the Buffy-nerd in me sat up and took notice.

Unfortunately, the customer was nowhere near as good looking as Spike. 😉

First name shouldn't be too hard, the same with surnames but the whole name? None that I can think of. Would be fun though.

I remember reading that the name of Will Smith's daughter is Willow. I wondered if he named her after himself (Will-Willow), checked it and found our that she was named after our Willow! Turns out that Smith and his wife are big fans of "Buffy". 😀

Yeah! Their son Jaden (he was in the new Karate Kid and The Pursuit of Happiness) adores Buffy!

I remember another interview which I can't find right now but Jada says that SMG offered to take him out for an ice-cream or something and Jada said she had to say no because she didn't think Jaden could handle that lol

Just kidding! That's a stretch. I don't think I know anyone with BtVS names. They are so uncommon, which I love.
 
I used to work with somebody who got drunk in Las Vegas and nearly married somebody called Buffy.
 
My favorites are (of course) when an entire name (first and last) are the same as the characters. It BLOWS my mind....not too sure why. lol

It's making me super happy knowing that the Smiths LOVE Buffy, too. 🙂

I know a Faith, but she doesn't have the Lehane last name and she isn't a brunette Slayer or a previous murderer... 😛
