Hey folks -
I joined the board a few months ago, only because I am a huge Firefly fan - thus a Joss Whedon fan - and I decided I'd finally give in and watch Buffy and Angel after years of ignoring it completely, because of the genre, among other things.
I have finally finished watching all of the BtVS and Angel episodes in order (according to these two lists BB Thread - Watching Buffy & Angel in Order and Buffy/Angel TRUE episode timeline) and I want more. I may have to settle on re-watching everything again, as I do with Firefly and Serenity, but I would like to know what other media is out there that either continues the stories, or goes back and reexamines different aspects of the Buffy-verse.
I've been looking around the different threads in search of a complete canon list of the chronological order of Buffy and Angel - tv episodes, comics, books, etc. - and the only thing I can find are the tv episodes, and then a mention of the comics for BtVS season eight and Angel Season Six.
I understand that most, if not all of the "novels" about Buffy and Angel are not considered canon, and that the Dark Horse Comics come after the tv series end, however, there must be some of you out there who have read and watched nearly everything even remotely related to the Buffy-verse and can give me an idea of where to go now.
I found this on Amazon Buffy in order (Full Canon list) and I suppose I'll start here, but I would like any input from those of you who may be a little more invested.
I would like to stay as true to canon as possible, however, I do love to read and I'm sure the non-canon books are somewhat entertaining, so if someone knows what order I should read the Pocketbooks, that list would be appreciated as well.
So, in review, here's what I'm looking for:
A complete chronological order of any media (books, comics, movies, tv, etc) concerning the Buffy-verse. This list would be similar to the Amazon list above, integrating the books, comics and tv series.
Also, a list of how best to read the other non-canon books based on BtVS and Angel.
Please, if there is already a thread discussing this, let me know. I may've missed it.
