I'm not sure if this is the right place to even ask this...but, does anyone know if Dark Horse is planning to eventually release a complete collection of Season 8? I think it would be great for people who want to read the entire story from beginning to end - and probably make it easier for some to follow.

I don't know of it officially, but I think I remember seeing that they are planning on doing that. And yes, it would be the best for people like me, who can't stand ordering them online each month, gave me a headache with the first 5 issues. After that I just stopped. And now I'm waiting also for something that will group them all together.

If you think about it, it's not exactly logical to put all the comics in one book. Every comic book has about 25 pages of story, plus covers and specials, multiply that by 40 makes about 1000 pages (probably more as trades usually have extra stuff in them the single issues don't have). I'd rather have four thin(ner) books I can read in bed or take with me on a train ride than one huge volume you can read only uncomfortably.

But the TPBs eliminate the ads & letters to the editor stuff, so it's possible that they could fit it into two volumes. I prefer the TPBs, and will probably sell my individual comics (I have Retreat to the end) when the TPBs come out for the last part of the series. Then again, I don't have the 1st 6 TPBs (checked them out of the public library), so perhaps I should wait for the compilation.

The problem is that it is hardback, which increases the price. I wish they would do a complilation in paperback. What's nice about the TPBs & compilations is that people can access them via their public library, because buying individual issues gets very expensive (esp when it's a 40-issue series!). I'm waiting to read Angel ATF until it comes out in compilation & hopefully I can get it at my library.

Yes, I took the removing of ads and such into account ;)
I just want them to hurry up and come out with the hard cover volumes so I can go ahead and buy them. I already have the original vol.1 in hardcover format and didnt feel like buying the others in soft cover so bring on the 4 hardcover volumes.

Yeah, I've been holding out on buying any comics because I want a compilation. I do have The Long Way Home book, though. That's it. Jeez, they sure do take their time with these comics.
