What's the funniest completely random thing you've heard/read lately?
 
my god. something must be wrong with us, sisters.. because i when i read that, i laughted too XD but there's nothing funny about it... lool
 
isnt the 666 thing completely translated wrong and it was always 616... but being Catholics they just changed it as they thought it sounded better... and now its in the popular conciousness via rock songs...?
 
You're completely right. ^^ But for once the Catholics didn't change it on purpose, they just translated it wrong. Had something to do with the way the hebrews wrote numbers. Anyway, a couple of years ago the re-named the Russian bus route 666. They called it bus route 616. Isn't that ironic? Also, there's an official phobia for the number 666, Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. (Fear of the number 616 is Hexakosioidekahexaphobia 😛 )


Now, I must say, I didn't find this all out by myself, for this lovely knowledge you will have to thank bbc4's QI ^^
