Computer problem...help?

When ever I double click on a folder it goes to 'search' instead of just opening it. Anyone know how to fix that, its very aggrivating.

Which OS is this in? Is it any particular program or is it in all of them?

that's it...too afraid to fix it yet, i'll get my dad to do it, cuz if he messes up, i can guilt him into getting me a new comp 🙂
