Alan Tudyk is creating a new comedy and is raising money for this. Even if you don't want to donate this video is great and features Alan along with buddy Nathan Fillion. I loved dig at the Fox network where Nathan just goes "Too soon" and Alan in return mutters an exasperated "It's been 13 years!" And later makes the point that they now have 'trust issues' with networks...


What is Con Man?
The series is a light-hearted take on the personalities, luminaries, and characters in the scifi community we are privileged to call ourselves members. Con Man is a way to share some of the surreal occurrences we have had, while telling the story of a guy learning to love and embrace his fans.

I wanted to make a show that featured all of my favorite convention artists and friends together. Not only that, I wanted to celebrate the world where heroes, villains, zombie hunters, and space pirates all overlap. I especially wanted to work with my friend Nathan Fillion again.

So go donate... they might buy a spaceship! And they have no problems shamelessly pander to Firefly fans 😀 "Like a leaf on the wind"

It sounds like a lot of different type shows already done.. that being said I did sign up as a bodyguard. 
Holy cow.. They reached their goal quick! when I paid it was alittle more than half the way there. They raised, if my math is right, 200k dollars in a few hours.

I saw this on The Mary Sue, totally would back this. Hope they get the cash for those 10 scripts that Alan has apparently written.

They've made it up to four episodes now, and still 30 days left. The way the money bar is increasing I would be surprised if they did not reach the 10 ep mark. 
I do crowdsourcing alot, this is unbelievable how fast its making money. I bet this time tomorrow it will be at a million.

It's incredible. In 6 days they have raised close to two million dollars. Still have 25 days left to go.. they could fund TWO seasons!

Fan fick.. I have just received word that when donations reach 2,250k all funders "will get to submit ideas for Fan Fiction (PG-13 or below!) and we'll do a vote, the winning fic will have a chapter read by Alan and a digital download made available to all funders."

So there ya go. If you write fan fics, here's a chance to not only hear yours read by Alan Tudyk but to have (thus far) over 28 thousand people hear your fic as well. All you have to do is donate $5 for the chance. Providing they reach the 2,250k mark... currently they are at 2,005k with 25 days left. They should hit it.

Because they have been so successful raising money Tudyk will now apparently do Q & A's. They just hit the 2.25 million mark and someone asked him how he does it.
