Imagine we catch a vampire, chop one of its arm off, and lock it in a cage in place A.

Then we travel with the arm to place B. Then people in place A can chop the vampire's head off, causing the arm in place B be dusted, therefore passing 1 binary bit of information.

Immune to eavesdropping, interception. And you don't need encryption. So perfect.😀

All this trouble for one measly bit? It's like coding in Assembly. 😕
Why not use a teleportation spell and give a live performance? Can illyria teleport? I don't remember...

The teleportation spell needs to know the coordinate/position of the target. If you broadcast the coordinate to the witch via radio, information has already been leaked.

Vamp beheading does not...

You'd think there'd be easier ways to move a vampire place to place.

In answer to the question knowing my luck it would have excellent powers of regeneration and I'd get two vampires, if you then cut its head off I'd end up with three, just as well I don't have to feed them!
