I thought I posted this earlier, but I must've not hit the "post" button. Anyway, which characters have been confirmed by Allie et al for season 9? I know we've read it before, but googling is doing nothing for me.
I think that's why I was so confused about Giles' death, because I could've sworn one of them said something about more Giles/Faith interaction,
but I obviously imagined it since no one else seems to remember that & I can't find it anywhere.

Well, we know by now that dead does not always mean dead in the Jossverse, so only time will tell on that factor.

There's been mentions of Oz returning, but I can't find a source for that, so don't quote me. But in my mind, all the big names of S8 are bound to at least feature, even in a smaller capacity.

My big question is, now that Dark Horse is taking over Angel, what does that mean for that series? Will we finally get crossovers?

Good to see you posting outside of Merrick! :)
I saw an interview at whedonesque that touched on Giles/Faith. It was about how they had a developing mentor relationship, but she was brisquely pushed aside for Buffy and Scott Allie said that it will be difficult for her, but her character has grown enough to movie past it.

Oh, I fully realize that. I'm not even sure I'm convinced that his death is permanent yet this season- I'm holding my breath for #40.

I'm not sure that any Angel characters have been confirmed yet except for Spike & Angel.

Well, Georges Jeanty mentioned at the Con last weekend that S9 was meant to hit until mid-2011, so there's plenty of time for them to decided who they want to appear.

But I haven't been reading the Angel comics, and I have no idea who's alive or dead, so there's the possibility that Angel and Spike are the only ones who CAN crossover.

Although I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Gwen. 😉

I haven't read them either, but according to others here on BB, there are plenty of AI members still alive to crossover. And yeah, you're right that they have plenty of time to make decisions on characters & plot (I hope they've learned from the successes & disappointments of s8).

I can't remember where I read it, but there was mention somewhere about the Season running for only 20 months, but that there will be several different titles running concurrently, "Buffy" and "Angel" being the main two, with several more miniseries type pairings or team-ups running throughout the 20 month "Season." If Buffy and Angel both have their own titles, then crossovers between those two would necessarily be somewhat limited, but for all of the support cast, we could have whatever pairings that Joss or his writers want to use.
