Confused :S

Hey, I'm new here, and paritally registerd because of my confusion :S

Basically i really want to read these Angel comics/Graphic novels...
But don't really understand it all :S

I firstly found the Angel: After the Fall graphic novels on forbidden planet (.co.uk), and saw there were 4/5 (And saw Spike vs Dracula which looks awsome 😀)
But then when looking on ebay, there are loads of comics...
So really whats the deal here?

After that it's not called After the Fall anymore but Aftermath. That starts in volume five and is ongoing. There was a spin-off of sorts called Spike: After the Fall that was four (?) issues and followed Spike and Illyria. There is one miniseries called Only Human which follows Illyria and Gunn after the events of After the Fall.

There is also the Angel Omnibus and the Spike Omnibus which collects various stories about each. Spike Omnibus has Spike vs. Dracula, I think.

There are a lot of comics. I don't remember them all.

ToShanshuInLA is completely right, but to make it absurdly simple:

Canon (real) Angel Stories (written by creator Joss Whedon):
Angel (TV Show): Seasons 1-5
Angel: After the Fall: Volumes 1-4
Spike: After the Fall

Non-Canon (professionally produced fan-written stories) Angel Stories:
Everything else.

There's also a complete collection HC to be released some time which will include all 4 volumes, but we don't know if Spike: After The Fall will be included. If you can't wait to read them then you should just get the individuals cos there's no set date on the complete collection yet.

The fifth volume is called Aftermath, but the 6th volume is Last Angel In Hell (not out yet I think). Then the other volumes have new names.

It does. Just make sure you buy "Spike omnibus" not "Spike", two tradepaperback with the same image on the cover, but different stories and layouts.

It says Spike omnibus on the cover, so as long as you look for that, you'll get the right volume.

And as ToShanshuInLa says, there's lots of comics, so I would suggest reading the 4 Angel After the fall volumes before starting in on the rest.

My reading list would go

Vol 1-4 of Angel After the fall
Spike after the fall
Aftermath (vol 5)
Only human tradepapckerback (since it's kind of a spin off off the Gun issue in the Aftermath volume).
Spike omnibus (which contains Asylum and it's sequel Shadow puppets, which have characters later appearing in Angel after the fall).

And when it comes out, volume 6 (Last Angel In Hell).

IDW has released other good stories, but to not confuse you, I'll stop now.

I think the complete collection will just be a boxed set of the volumes. I just don't see IDW releasing a single book that's a foot thick...
