I'm going to make a statement and say that Harm's Way was the first episode of Angel, since 3.22 Tomorrow that made me feel connected to one of the characters. It was the first one since then to actually make me feel like part of the gang, anyone agree?

I mean, like how you can relate to the characters. I personally have always been able to connect with Connor, but I'm an exeption in that way. But otherwise, it has been a long time since, I've been really able to feel for what characters go through the way I was able to in Harm's Way.

I really agree with you, Ally. I mean, I knew how it felt like to be ignored and I knew that feeling where you think you don't matter. I could easily relate to Harm in this episode. Which is why I think it's the best episode of the season. 😀

I really could connect to Harmony this episode, I could goosebumps, I got watery eyes, I got super pissed at mister I'm-all-broody-and-all-the-girls-love-me-so-I-never-ever-have-to-be-nice-again, I really got dragged into this one, whereas some of the other episodes where a little flat compared to this one.

Yea. This episode really made you fell bad for her character. When she was angry or sad you were angry or sad with her. It was the first episode like this in a while.

For me, Connor was the only character on s4 that I could actually connect with... best not argue with me then 😉 ... need to kill!

I could connect with Connor a little because I always get the feeling that no one's letting me in on everything...

I can definitely relate to Harmony. She feels ignored just as I do sometimes.

Can't say I relate too well with Harm...I can relate with Willow, Tara, sometimes Buffy, quite a bit with Xander and COMPLETELY with Spike...in a scary way really, but Harm and I are polar opposites I think...but it kicks ass that you can relate to two characters that are so different in so many ways Allycat. 🙂

i dont' know if i can relate w/ harmony, but i know what you mean allycat. This was the first episode in a while where i felt like i knew what was going on in the characters head, you know what i mean? You understand her better and know what shes feeling

That was indeed quite what I was trying to point out W03. Sorry to let you down Rayne, I do not feel like I am anything like Harm. However do you consider Connor and Andrew different in many ways?

LOL! I am soory if I emplied that you would be anything like Harm...I just meant to say that I don't relate to her and it's cool that you do...and yeah...it's pretty safe to say that Connor and Andrew are pretty different in damn near every way...lol...but they're both outcasts...which is probably about the only thing they DO have in common...

You still don't get it, it's not really about relating, but more a matter of being involved with what the charaters go through, something I felt in Harm's Way and before that in Tomorrow, luckily it was there again in Soul Purpose.

I totally agree with you Allycat. You don't have to identify with someone to see where they are coming from. That is what I have disliked so much about this season--it has all been so flat and 2 dimensional. Harm's way however was excellent. (As well as the episode where we get some of Spike/Angel/ Dru back story but I can't remember the name) It got down to the nitty gritty.

I have always liked Harmony, and Conner too. They are both vastly misunderstood and their motivations dismissed and underrated, both by us the viewers, as well as by the characters in Angel. I would love to see more episodes like this one.

After watching tonight episode (in US) I felt more connected with Dana. I know I felt tortured when I was little and today. I just remember waking up one day being so confused. Not knowing where I was or who I was. I mean she woke up and was suddenly different... so was I.

Sorry haven't seen it yet, but by what you tell me, they keep up with the standards set in Harm's Way, which is good news!

I must admit.
This season has lacked abit in character development.
Does anybody even feel like they know Gunn anymore...
Fred has gotten little spotlight this season...
She had some good scenes in the first ep, her scenes with Knox and her lecturing her new laboratory staff.
Her scenes with Spike in "Hellbound" were absolutely wonderful.

I didn't connect much with Dana at all...really...If anyone I connected with Andrew in "Damage"...He's trying so hard to be an adult, and be sophisticated, and leave his past behind. As a freshman in college I could totally relate.

Honestly...the last time I've really connected with anyone on Angel was Wes in the end of s3 and beginning of s4...all that he went through...I was totally dragged into his character....
