So many different events have (or haven't) occurred throughout the course of time; there's usually an "agreed upon" explanation of what transpired, and of course, not everyone accepts the "official" story.
Here's some of my opinions on newsworthy events of the past (and perhaps, present). Feel free to weigh in, or share some of your own.

1. I absolutely do not believe that humans ever landed on the Moon. I'd wager that the entire "moon landing" was filmed in a studio.

2. Princess Diana's death was no accident...and I'm convinced that MI6 was somehow involved.

3. Marilyn Monroe was murdered because she'd threatened to publicly reveal her affair with John F. Kennedy.

4. Prince Andrew's biological father is Lord Porchester; Prince Edward's is Lord Plunket...and Prince Harry's is James Hewitt.

5. America's 9\11 disaster was not the work of Muslim terrorists; in fact, it was the government itself that was responsible. They needed a "legitimate" reason to declare war on Iraq.

Thoughts? Additional theories?

Aka is also known as
1. The universe began in the last Thursday, anything before that is fake memory implanted in your brain.

2. 1+1=3 actually. The whole world is playing with you. When you put an apple and another apple together, there's an apple disappearing from your eyes and you can't notice, so you thought 1+1=2. Even when you are imagining this process, the extra apple will still disappear.

3. All religions are true, so is atheism. You found many inconsistencies you say? Blame your limited brain and rationality.

I'm probably very naive but the only thing I could buy into is that James Hewitt could possibly be Prince Harry's father. Possibly. Maybe 🙂

That's some Hunger Games stuff! Maybe that's where Suzanne Collins got the idea form.

To be honest though I don't usually believe in too many conspiracy theories. My last roommate was convinced that we had already found the cure to cancer and the government was hiding it. It droves me nuts, trying to explain that this couldn't be true, from a scientific point of view, to her was like talking to a brick wall.

Lizard-people control key positions of power world-wide and secretly rule the world. Think 'They Live' only the lizard-people were here before us.

Atlantis is real, but its on the underside of the Hollow Earth- they invented reverse gravity so that's okay- and that's why no-one can find it. Except the Nazi's did.

Hitler's Brain- contained in an Atlantean life-preserving machine deep within the jungles of South America- had Kennedy assassinated through a proxy. He hoped to frame Communist sympathisers and so ignite the cold war. From the ashes of which would rise the new fascism. The CIA covered it up and muddied the waters by implicating themselves, and in so doing saved the world from nuclear holocaust.

The Roswell Incident stems from so-called 'Foo Fighter' sightings that were very commonm during WWII. The US military- after interrogating thier own pilots, set a trap to shoot down an alien craft and use its technology to give them an advantage in upcoming conflicts.
Unfortunately they didn't get much for their troubles, all the alien tech was all too techno-organic to utilise, like those freaky aliens in 'Prometheus'.

In all seriousness the best conspiracy theories- i.e the ones that might actuall be true- are always historical ones. By that I mean pre-20th century. Back then it was actually possible to have secret organisations that run stuff or amassed power, toppled kings and such. Not these days.

You got the lizard people thing from Doctor Who! :p

I was thinking the same thing about Doctor Who! lol
I LOVE a good conspiracy theory, I usually don't believe them, because I doubt peoples intelligence and abilities to keep secrets - but they are fun to think about!

JFK conspiracy theories are fascinating, secret societies controlling the world is so bizarre, the Denver International Airport is so odd, alien cover-ups (why?), even the more recent and much smaller Chipotle conspiracy theories were mildly entertaining.

And you know...although I don't believe most, sometimes they turn out to be true, so maybe I doubt too much? The Tuskgee Syphilis Experiment for example.

The whole Roswell thing, I was obsessed with that as a kid. That's how I started watching The X Files (which only served to fuel my conspiracy theories!).

I'm more of a skeptic nowadays, but I do genuinely believe there is life on other planets, we just don't know about them and they don't know about us.... yet!

Oh. I could point you in the direction of quite a weird/interesting documentary about the existence of alien life.
Oh yes I believe in life on other planets, I don't think thats a conspiracy theory, I think it's a fact

I meant Roswell as the conspiracy, not the life on other planets..... :-)

I've heard a similar one: the Big Oil already has the tech of cold fusion but they won't announce it until oil is depleted. It's so hilarious and wrong on every aspects that I can't even choose an angle to refute.

Every time people pull out theories like that I want to face palm so hard that I send my brain into oblivion lol

Absolutely!! In a universe so bloody MASSIVE, how could anyone be naive enough to think we're the only ones living here?

And for any scientist to claim that all life requires oxygen and water...well, that's just silly. There's forms of life out there that would boggle the mind. However, I don't want to meet them, so hopefully they'll stay away.

Speaking of which, I DEFINITELY believe in alien abduction. Why wouldn't they collect and catalogue us? We do the same thing to other species on this planet. It's only fair that it happens to us. *coughTOSERVEMANcough*

@GwenRaiden You must participate. 😀

hihi what kind of scientist claims that? I mean, we know of so many anaerobic bacterias, oxygen is definitely not a pre-requisite for life!

I've witnessed this on the Science Channel...also Discovery and Smithsonian channels. Dr Michio Kaku and Brian Cox have both said this.

I did a bit of digging. At least for Brian Cox I could find some info, sounds more like he was saying it is unlikely that life occurred in other places due to how life came about on Earth, that is, a total fluke. Evolution happened through random events and bottlenecks, that are not likely to happen again (something I can agree with, although it IS possible that they will happen, or have happened elsewhere). Now as for the oxygen thing, it stems from the idea that bacteria, and simple plants, which would be more likely to be found on a planet than complex life form, will or could have chlorophyll and produce oxygen, therefore those would be indication of life. The links below both show that Brian Cox does indeed believe life form on other planets is possible. Some of his remarks maybe were simply misinterpreted.

Prof: We are snot alone
No, we're not on our own

As a side note, Science channels and others aren't always very reliable. Not that they spread false info, but they spread VERY simplified info which sometimes makes it inaccurate. Like the idea that natural selection drives evolution, while in reality it is much more complicated than that.

Actually, there's no source of scientific information on earth that is completely reliable. Why? Because most of it is speculation, not fact. And many of the people in this field are theoretical physicists...emphasis on the term, "theoretical."

In fact, the oxygen-rich atmosphere appeared much much later than life on earth.

The only real conspiracy I believe in is the fact that Oswald was NOT the person who killed JFK. Listen, I was in the military and there are a lot of other military personnel who can back me up on this.

There is NO way Oswald could have got off three shots in 8 seconds from the distance he was, with that much accuracy. He was known from his time in the military as a 'marksman'. Now, before you get too excited about that terminology, in the military, that's not really good. That means he only hit between 23-27 shots out of 40 (targets).

I was considered an expert (I shot 36 out of 40). THAT'S still not great. Someone who shoots 39 or 40 would be considered a great shot. Oswald just was not. That's a fact. Now, consider also that he was using a bolt action rifle and I would give Oswald a zero percent chance of making those shots that killed JFK. For those of you that don't know, a bolt action rifle is a rifle that after each shot, you have to manually pull the bolt back to release the spent shell. Then shove the bolt back in place before you can shoot again. It's virtually impossible for an expert to do that, let alone someone like Oswald who wasn't an expert. And you then have to figure in the distance of the target, who was also MOVING. Yeah, good luck with that.

Also, and this is just common sense, when you watch the Zapruder film, you can see the final, fatal shot force JFK's head to move back and to the left. If he was really hit by Oswald from behind, his head would have went forward. To me, this screams of a shooter from the side or slightly in front of JFK's vehicle when he was shot the last time.
