This will sound sadistic, but I would love to have seen Zoe weaknesses. During the half a season on TV and the movie, the only real weakness we see from her is almost getting herself killed after Wash dies, and that's not that bad. I guess I agree with that warrior poet, you don't trully get to know someone unless you hold them over the vulcanos edge. And while I appreciate that she's a kick ass character, if she died, I wouldn't care that much. Because she's hard to emphatize with. We didn't get to see her afraid, beaten down, depressed, or anything. We of course saw that she wasn't made out of stone, she did have feelings and doubts and weaknesses, but not enough.
So I would have wanted to see her weak side in the new season. With Wash dying, that would have been a great opportunity to see her go off the rails in some way.
And I would have liked to have Kaylee and Simon get together. Because then we could have seen if they would have worked together. Because you see, I think it may still, even after the movie, be just about two people, who don't have many options getting together, as Simon pointed out in Jaynestown. It just seemed like Kaylee was horny and thought Simon was pretty and Simon thought she was there, so why not?
They do get along really well, so maybe I'm wrong. I would just like to see their relationship tested.
