This is my favourite episode, and I've just been watching it, so I thought to make a topic...because I felt like it 😛

What does everyone else think of this episode? I don't know why I love it so much, I just do, and Jonathan M. Woodward is sooo funny <33 😛

So, opinions?
 
I thought this was a really good episode...in a really unnerving way. And it just made me go through different feelings for each scene.
Like I got really teared up on Willow's scene when she says 'Tara? I miss you' and it's all veyr sad as she genuinely believes Tara is there. and it's just so heartbreaking and I think she also says about there being a big hole inside of her and it's not getting better. .::mucho tears::.
The Dawn/First!Joyce scene was definitely the most frightening part of the episode. They really went all out on the creep factor here. That music that's playing when Dawn hears her 'Mom's voice speak through the radio still creeps me out- stupid everlasting connotations. And when you see Joyce in the background in the same position of when she died and Buffy found her. And then the fang on the vampire- 'Mothers milk is red today'. Didn't Jane [Espenson] write that scene? Well whoever it was, they have some *serious* problems!
And then the Buffy and damn what's his name? Holden? Holden Webster! Right, yeah that scene was very insightful but was a nice comic relief from the above mentioned traumatic scenes.

Thought it was pretty cool that it was done so no main character interacted with each other in this episode. And the music Angie Hart's Blue at the beginning and end just fit the entire episode perfectly
 
I think this episode was great because of the way it really kicked off the season. And the music (I LOVE that song). And the acting. Woodward was great, and so was Azura Skye. And Dawn really kicked some a$$.

On a side note, Azura and Caroline Lagerfelt (Spike's mom) were on House recently and did an amazing job there, too.
 
I loved this episode...mainly because it had Buffy being more honest than we had ever seen her. The whole superior/inferior talk still sticks out in my mind for some reason

Yeah, that scene was written by Jane - I watch commentaries! 😛 - and it is kinda disturbing. My CD player started to do the same thing it did in that episode the other day when I was home alone, I got seriously wigged out and had to turn it off :lmao:

And the superiority/inferiority [sp] thing was really good, because from about season 5 that showed entierly but that's the first time it's brought up.
 
The Joss segment with Buffy and Holden in the graveyard is by far my most favorite. It's always great when two people who are fighting to the death pause to have a totally serious conversation, and it was funny and it was honest. I also like how the episode opens and closes with a song. Feels like a special one.
 
I loved this episode, Buffy's segments was funny and my favorite, dawn's was weird...Willow's was very sad,
and I knew what was going to happen with the Andrew/Johnathon story so i didn't like it for the outcome cause I loved Johnathon!

:cry: "I want to talk to them you know, I want to find out how they're doing, I want to know what's going on in there lives."
Then Andrew chimes in ::huh1:: Andrew: "Not one of them cares about you." this was so sweet this next line Johnathon: "Well I still care about them."
He was such a great character. It was very sad what they did to him 🙁 Andrew will never be redeemed in my eyes! aww Buff killed the cool vamp

Joss uses the guy who played Holden really well ^_^ in both this and Firefly!! 😉

I do love the Angie Hart song. Really one of the best songs on the show, IMO. Spine-tingly. Thought I read that Joss co-wrote it?
 
Loved it. Adored it. In my top 10. So unique. So amazing. Love it.

"Blue" by Angie Hart is an amazing song, and is written by JOSS! Good song 😀 I loved the repetition of it.

The writing was top notch and Buffy's superiority complex is delved into here. And some great lines in that scene, other than the drama ones: "Buffy, I'm here to kill you, not to judge you." :lmao:

The Trio-Minus-One was hilarious and I really, really loved it! :heart:

Willow's talking to Tara was so deeply emotional. Alyson Hannigan does the comedy and drama so well, as does Azura Skie.

The Dawn part was funny with her dancing and singing but went to insanely creepy! It was one of the scariest moments of Buffy, imo.

I loved it all.
 
This episode is probably my favourite of season 7 after Chosen. Xander being absent doesn't hurt the story any, and as everyones pointed out the acting in this one is great. Plus, still get a little teared up every time I hear "She still sings to you".

To be honest, I never noticed Xander wasn't in it, until I heard the commentery [sp] for the episode...I'm slow.

And that line is sooo sad 🙁
