Converting Someone Into a Scooby...

Hehe...

Being the devil I am I have lured my first victim into the web of Buffy. Mwahahahaha! :: vampire

Anywho, now he won't stop bugging me about it. (Yeah, I converted a MALE into a Buffy fan. That's two points.) And he made me spoil him about Tara's death and the Spuffy thing and how Faith is the awesomest -- oops...how'd THAT get there??

Anyway, back to the point: Have you ever converted someone into a "Scooby" so to speak? Share your story here!

I kind of converted my hubby, but, then again, we kind of became scoobies at about the same time.

I'm going to try to convert my parents and my sister this Christmas, though. Wish me luck!

I converted my two sisters, neice and brother in law(who potested for hours about it!😛)! Basically I bought the box sets, at the time it was VHS and we only had one player in the sitting room (yes the dark ages!!) and forced them to watch it! I think we were two eps when my brother in law started with the questions. He missed the ep 'Angel' and when my sister told him that Angel was a vamp he rang me because he didn't belive her!!hahaha

Oh and my oldest friend too...she had been a....*whispers* charmed fan...I know I thought they were all gone too....so anyways again I forced her to watch I only have eyes for you and not only is it her favourite ep but she totally renounced Charmed...thats 3 points in my slay column!!!

bringing me to an overall score of 7!!

So far I've converted my entire family, my best friends Danial and Danielle (yes they are two different people), my friends Allyra, Sean and my best friend's little sister.

lol anyone I try and convert laughs and says the show sucks, they've seen some amount of episodes some time ago, and hated it ... idk
So...watching some episode, at some time, without any context, and you say you didn't like the series ...huh....
It's like omg fine if you resist this much then I will never give you the pleasure of actually watching the show, your loss, not mine!!

I've been trying to get my mom and sister to watch Heroes from the day it came on .. they actually want to see it.. they just never "have time"

I can't convert anyone to anything lol except to Stargate I converted a few people to Stargate Sg-1 ^_^

Well as someone whose friends are all Buffy fans I'm more of a converted than converter. Started out as a casual fan and only in the last two to three years become a more avid fan from all of them getting me into it.

But I think watching through the series with my parents has made them at least causal fans of the show 🙂

I'm planning to start the conversionthis christmas. i've made a CD for each of my sisters called 'Welcome to the Buffyverse" on which i've put songs that featured in Buffy and Angel including a few tracks from the musical. Hopefully, they'll listen and i whan i suggest a veiwing of Once More with Feeling they'll say yes because they need to know what the songs are about. he he he.

I was converted by my Aunt and her friend who took me to the musical sing-a-long and I feel in love. (I am a theater-musical freak so yeah) Then I went to best buy like the next day and bought the first four seasons and fell in love so I bought the rest. Then I didn't really want to get Angel becasue for some reason I never really liked him very much on Buffy when he was not Angelus. But I got it when I realized Wesley was in it because I LOVE WESLEY! so then I got into Angel. Then I found out that three of my good friends are also Buffy fans and they were at the same musical I was (crazy!) So then we converted three of our other friends. I am working on another one of my friends too. (Today she watched two eps of Angel and liked it so we will see - plus I have already converted her to Dexter) So yeah I also have my other Aunt who owns all the box sets and she borrows my comics after I read them. My mom thinks I am a bit crazy but to tell you the truth I am :lmao:. But there is my long story. (PS my four year old brother wants to be Spike so I guess I have converted him to or at least as much as you can convert a four year old)
