Convince Me

Okay, so let me get this straight.

You actually DISLIKE Firefly???? What are you, a moron or something???
Mental...

Although the arguement above about popularity.... yes Firefly won, as it clearly most definitely should, but huh??? I mean we live in a country with 60m people and regularly 10 million watch soap operas of that 6 million would class them as their favourite shows - the web is open to billions and ONLY 600000 people liked it??? What happened there?? It's a rubbish arguement when you look at the grand scheme of things.... but then only around 200000 people voted Buffy, so yay for Firefly.

Well, surely not everyone on the web knows about the site. Of those who do, many have probably not seen it, and therefore wouldn't vote for it. You know?

Well then if thats the excuse for such a small number of votes, then the site isn't really representative enough to be used as an arguement in favour is it??
For all we know, that could be every fan of Firefly going and voting twice and that's it.
It's like saying 'well, out of my 10 friends who all watch this programme, 5 like it, therefore half the population must like it', or like going to a Christian church then taking a straw poll of everyone's religious persuasions.

It's just not representative enough to be used as a strong arguement, because of it's basic, extremely limiting factors!

I wasn't trying to prove any sort of point here, and we're seeing this from different prespectives. You're saying that with 6 billion people in the world, 600,000+ votes is surprisingly small and not very impressive. I'm saying that Firefly is half again the number of votes Buffy and Angel got combined, which, considering how much everyone here loves Buffy, is rather impressive (Angel is at 187500 as of now). That said, if you're one of those who gave Firefly a few random episodes, you might consider that maybe it gets better watching it all the way through. Personally, I didn't get fully into it until somewhere in disc two.
