What do you guys think are some of the coolest sounding songs you've ever heard? They don't have to be your favourites or have really deep lyrics or whatever, they just have to sound cool to you.

It is because I see the music of Pink Floyd as being more of an intelligent nature than 'cool' sounding.

Though if I had to pick one of their songs for cool, I agree with you, Comfortably Numb would be it.

You hate Cochise? Really? That was one of those songs that grabbed me the first time I heard it. Actually I could be a little biased with this because the first time I heard it, it came on Kerrang TV whilst my then girlfriend and I were... actually, this may be a little too much information... Needless to say that it brings back a good memory 😀

Yeah, I don't know why, I could never get in to that song. I LOVE I Am The Highway, tho.....like SERIOUSLY love it. I also like Doesn't Remind Me and Be Yourself (all of Out of Exile, really) but didn't like Audioslave that much, except for Highway.
 
Actually I am the Highway and Be Yourself should have been on my list above. Having said that, if I'd started trying to include every song I love then I'd still be typing now.

Yeah goldenboy The Verve took the hook-y part, and then added all their own stuff to it to make it sound AWESOME yay. But the Rolling Stones got annoyed cuz they took too much of it or didnt ask them or something, so the profits from that song are spilt 50-50.

50-50 between Jagger and Richards, not The Stones and The Verve.

(at least I think that's right, it's been a while since I researched that.)

Another cool song of mine is Sacrifice. The one from The Gift. I want that song played at my funeral. *geek*
