Finally, at long last Cop Rock is being released on DVD. Shout! Factory announced today that the cult series will be released on DVD on May 17, “complete with new interviews with Steven Bochco and [star] Anne Bobby.”

For those unaware of this.. great.. TV show it's a cop-drama from Steven Bochco, who brought the world the acclaimed Hill Street Blues. Sadly (or fortunately) this show only lasted 11 episodes though. Oh, yeah, it was a musical too.

Lol, haha, well now I understand the line from Gilmore Girls where Lorelai tells Luke she has all the Cop Rock episodes recorded on VHS and follows it up with a "trying to figure out what you see in me?" 😛
