When exactly does Cordelia start being influenced by the Beast? Forgive me if there is a thread for this - I searched and couldn't find one. I'm watching Salvage right now and I just noticed that creepy little smile she does when she says "It's started."

And one more question. I forgot; do they always believe that Angelus killed Lilah? I can't remember if they ever find out that Cordy/The Beast did it.

And that look on Wes' face is just heartbreaking when he sees Lilah dead. Never really noticed that before.

Angel tells them after that it wasnt him that killed Lilah. And I think Cordie becomes evil when Skip takes her to be a higher being, but i could be wrong

no in 'Tomorrow' I think. Thats when she actually became evil, but Skip and his bosses had been planning it for longer. At least thats how I remember it.

no Cordie stuck her in the throat with some spike thingy, then Angelus sucked blood from her already dead body, and then the agency people found the body with bite holes and assumed Angelus did it

I thought when she comes back, she mentions Wes decapitating her?...

I was just wondering the same thing. Was Cordelia already Jasmine once she ascended? Or did Jasmine take over Cordelia while she was up in the cloudy place and that was how Cordelia/Jasmine managed to get back to Earth? With Jasmine's power?

And - sidenote - does anyone else think Lilah would have been fantastic as a vampire?!

I believe Jasmine only hitched a ride back from the higher plane. While she was there, Cordy was still Cordy. When they arrived back, the amnesia was suppressing Jasmine. What we saw was Cordy with no memory. It was only when that was lifted and we saw the flash of the Beast that Jasmine assumed control.

Dosn't Skip confess later though that it was all a big set up to get her to the astral plane so Jasmin could take over? Its been a little bit since I watched it, but thats how I remember it

Yes, that's how it happened, but Jasmine didn't actually take conscious control of Cordelia's body until the end of Spin the Bottle. It's kind of like with Angel and Angelus. The demon's always there, but it was in hibernation until she was positioned to act. The amnesia was an unforseen side-effect of Cordelia's return to the human plane, so Jasmine's awakening was put off. Notice that Cordelia doesn't do anything particularly out of character until after Spin the Bottle.

Thanks, that seems to make a little more sense. I think I have I'm going to have to rewatch it though so I definitely understand what is going on!

I think the gang discusses all this in the episode Inside Out. Correct me if I'm wrong...
