I couldn't think of an appropriate title for this thread 😡

However, in The Harvest, there's the scene in which Cordelia manages to delete her coding (or whatever it was) under Willow's instruction to press 'deliver'. It's always bugged me whether this was Willow's intent, or if Cordy was a ditz and pressed the wrong key. I think in America the enter key is the deliver key - but i could be mistaken 😕

When I first saw it, I thought it wasn't Willow's intent because...she's just so sweet and innocent, but then in School Hard she gives Cordelia the lemonade which she knows has no sugar :evilgrin2

No there is no "delivery" button but theres a "Del" which stands for Delete....nowadays its usually spelled out in full though

Ah, well that answers my question then :P I have no idea why I thought 'delivery' was another term for the enter key. :S

I always imagined it was her own little way at getting back at Cordelia for all the snarky comments she made to Willow. She knew Cordy was a bit ditzy so she took her opportunity.

Ohmygod your banner is beautiful.
Willow has a more calm, calculating "mean" side to her back in those days. I always do laugh out loud when she gives Cordy the awful lemonade in "School Hard", though. 🙂

I get the sense that Cordelia picked on Willow for years...because Willow states that Harmony did (Graduation Day Pt. 1) and we all know that Cordy was the leader back in the day, and Harmony is a sheep. That being said, Cordelia had it coming haha. Not only was she saying mean things about Buffy, but she should know what "Del" stood for and if she didn't, well then perhaps Willow helped her out. Making her delete the assignment means that Cordy probably had to do it all over again, thus giving her plenty of time to familiarize herself with the keyboard 😀

I think Willow did this on purpose. Cordelia has been bad-mouthing all three of them, so it was a small payback.
I laughed out loud when this happened. Cordelia was kind of getting on my nerves, so this event raised my respect for Willow actually xD (The fact that none of Cordelia's friends even knew what "Del" stood for, made it all the more funnier.)

I took a computer class in 1997 that was pretty much the same as Willow's class. Back then, we either called it the enter or return key, not deliver. So I'm pretty sure Willow knew Cordy was going to hit delete and lose all her work.

hahahahaha love that scene!!! willow was annoyed because harmony and cordelia were talking about buffy, so im pretty sure she intended for cordelia to delete her work. i would have done the same had i been willow.

Willow knew exactly what she was doing. Taking stereotypes, which Whedon and Co later helped to change, the nerdy girl doesn't have a verbal defense for the frontal assault of a bitchy insult from the popular girl. What she does have is the disruptive guerilla tactic of knowledge. By misleading her opponent the nerd successfully heads the popular girl off at the pass thus destroying her efforts and forcing her to regroup. In this case deleting her work and making her re-do it.

Alyson's delivery of the line is spot on. Willow, the computer geek nonchulanty says 'Hit deliver' because she is the one who knows what she is doing in that environment. The popular girl, out of her element does what the knowledgeable person says and is utterly unaware that she has been duped until it is too late.

I have always felt that this was Joss' revenge scene for all the times in school that he was picked on for being the smart kid with all the words. This is where those words have their power and he showed them!

That was a neat scene. Willow decided to get revenge on Cordelia, and I don't think Cordy had a clue it was happening.A small payback for all the nasty stuff the "cool crpwd" had done to the "nerds".

I completely understood why Willow did it. Cordelia and Harmony annoy me so much and really were vile people.

I think it was wrong for Willow to do that though. It was just the first sign that Willow believes in vengeance. It started with something small like this but enventually she is torturing and mutilating people that wrong her.
