Cordelia haters...speak...

I kinda hate her a bit. Her worst was in offspring, when she took Darlas(pregnant) side over Angel! Then Darla tried to kill her.

I love Cordy, but I have to say I prefer her in Buffy and the first 2 seasons of Angel. I liked her honesty and bluntness lol. I think she and Anya are so unbelievably funny when they are in b***h mode. Unfortuantely Cordy lost this in season 3 and 4. I loved that she got back to this in You're Welcome.

In Buffy Cordy was at her worst, she was basically a bitchy, selfish bully, and she loved it, i cant believe Buffy let her off with so much. Cordy was MUCH better in Angel.

I love Cordy in Buffy and the first two seasons of Angel. About midway through season three of Angel though, the character starts to suck. I understand giving a character an arc and making them change but there are good and bad ways to do this. Wesley is an example of how to do it right. He just started off this goofy smart dude and became a total badass. Cordy, however, became saintly to the point of dullness in season three. It only took a few episodes for them to basically strip away everything interesting and fun about the character and replace her with this prop of a character whose only purpose in being in the mix was for Angel to have someone to lust (pointlessly) after. They could have had her become a better person and still had her remain funny and the tiniest bit bitchy. And though this is completely shallow, I also hate her hair in seasons three and four of Angel.

Yes, i'm one of the few that dislikes Cordelia. She had the occasional funny line but thats about it.
Compared to the other characters she was just straight up boring. Virtually no character growth. Bitchy on Buffy, grows up a bit on Angel, and thats it. They even gave her visions just so she wasn't totally pointless. Otherwise she'd have simply been AI's receptionist. I dont get the hype.

I love Cordelia, she's my favorite character on Buffyverse. Even though she was shallow in Btvs, I liked that because it was funny and entertaining to watch, and when she went on Angel I liked her even more! I don't see how anyone could hate her, because she was such a good part of Btvs and Angel, and it wouldn't be the same without her.

^^dunno. I really liked s5 of Angel, and after the first couple of episodes i didn't even notice she was missing. I dont see what role she would've played. Her time was up by the end of Angel s2, after that? Pff, all downhill.

I love how Charisma actually acts like Cordy IRL. Like in interviews and stuff she's total nuts. Amber Benson said she's hilarious and that she could be a comedian. :L

In Btvs, I don't see her as a bitca. She was honest. Honesty is a virtue. Plus, I have a thing for genuine people. 😀 She was confident, strong, tough, funny, and even pretty smart. She may not have been the nicest character out there, but to be honest nice characters get a little boring after a while. 😀

In Angel she was also awesome. She had evolved into a kinder woman, but she was still painstakingly honest and genuine. 😀 Beautiful, thoughtful, honest, smart, heroic, lovable, funny, etc. What's not to love? 😀

Huh, it's interesting how two people can watch the same thing and see COMPLETELY different things. 😀

She was incredibly honest, and I respect that about her. I dunno, I guess she was kind of a jerk, but no more so than a lot of teenage girls nowadays. 😀

On Angel she was the same person, but she had matured into an adult. THAT'S the difference. Did you watch Birthday? She had never joined Angel or Wes in that AU, but she was still a mature adult. She was just kinda immature as a teen, most are. 😀 So there's definitely a flaw in that argument, hon. 🙂

No need to despair me, we're all entitled to our own opinion.

i'm just irked cos i watched s1 last night and i know its high school but O M F G. Too shallow for words. Still, i dont see the 'growth' !?! Bit more mature, yes, but nothin to brag about. Even in angel s3 she made snide comments about being hotter than Fred(and she so wasn't)
i dunno, angel s1&2 she was bareable but the rest, ugh, it was sick to see

Well, whether or not Cordy is hotter than Fred is certainly debatable... I see Fred more as the adorable, beautiful girl next door, whereas Cordy is more of the sexy playboy bunny. 😀

She wasn't perfect at all. But towards the end, she was definitely selfless and concerned mostly about the good fight. She put her own feelings and happiness aside, to ascend to the higher plane and fight for the forces of good. Too bad she didn't know it was a trap at the time.

You don't see the growth? Then I think you need to have your eyes checked because there is definite growth there. And speaking as a guy, I think Cordelia is way hotter than Fred.

Doyle may have been smarter than her, being older, a former school teacher, and everything. But he defnitely didn't showcase any of that intelligence around Cordy. For all she knew, all he cared about was money, women, and booze.
