Cordelia Must Look Homeward to Angel

In a recently published letter to the Editor from scifi.com new details of Charisma`s possible return to Angel are revealed. She does not want to come back.

Apparently, the producers have heard the words of the fans who have been clamoring for Charisma`s return.

It has been reported that initially she has been understandably reluctant to do so. Angel fans are aware of how sadly the actress was treated, but continue to hope that she will return as a regular or semi-regular character.

Her abrupt release may have some impact on whether other Buffy the Vampire Slayer characters choose to guest as well.

Hopefully, Whedon and Carpenter can put their differences behind them and work together again.

It is interesting how someone such as Mr. Whedon, widely regarded as a "genius," could so badly misread her popularity. Mr. Whedon indicates that he wants to bring some closure to her character. I believe that the fans have been clear that they want closure for the character as well, but only as regards last season's plotline.

One or two episodes for the purpose of tying things up is not what the fans are requesting and such an end to Cordelia will not please many people.

Whoever made this up? Yes I'd like some closure on her story ... but hell if she stays in coma for the rest of her life I'm fine with it ... what the hell do I care about Cordy ... I say YAY for the genius, and go luck with momhood Charisma!

I'm happy for Charisma and her new motherhood! I'm not upset and I don't think Joss misread her popularity. I wouldn't say that fans are "clamoring" for her return, either.

i'm glad she's gone,i would like some closure,..but,who cares?,she's out,is not part of the show anymore,and i think everything is better without her(e.g.ratings...well,thanks to spike,but anyways,spike is in,cordy is out,and ppl likes that)

If I was Charisma, I would be so pissed if Joss turned round and said, "I don't want you back next season, your character has gone too it's limits."
She has been there 7 yrs and has been grand, she could continue for another 7 and be grand. I am so going to miss her, I hope her closure is a good one, I bet Joss will kill her off.

Charisma Returns!

Fans will receive some closure for her character later on in the season

Kristin has confirmed that Charisma Carpenter will reprise her role as Cordelia Chase in what likely will be the 100th episode of the series. Shooting begins at the end of November and will presumably air as the 12th episode of the season.

In other casting news, Kristin also noted that, as reported later this week by Slayerverse, a return from Sarah Michelle Gellar does not appear to be in the near future. Producers are hopeful, however, that Alyson Hannigan will be available to bring Willow into the Angel-verse sometime this year.

How do you have "closure"? How do you close her ure? It's not like she can say, "Oh, I'm not in coma anymore, so I'll get out of L.A."

its not though she belongs in wolfrum and hart, what will she do? I mean it woulda been better if instead of making charisma angry and all they coulda just made her concious again and do harmonys job, there she wouldnt be in all the scenes so she can still stay home and stuff with her baby.
