Do Cordelia find out on screen that Angel is a vampire? It's painfully obvious hat she doesn't know in Halloween, but a few episodes later (Surprise?) she seems to know. Did we see when?

Well, let me think... First, Buffy and Willow tell her and she doesn't believe him. See the famous "carebear with fangs" remark.
Then Buffy's afraid of Angel and Cordy again presents that Buffy has a crazy idea that Angel's a vampire.
And later on, Angel gets his game face on. And I *think* Cordy sees it, and now she knows he's all... grrr.

By innocence Cordelia knows for sure. They are in the library and they are discussing Angelus coming to the school to kill them. Willow says something like You should have seen him. He came here to kill us.

Yea she was with the scooby gang in What's my line because she was with the rest when the gang to the church to save Angel. Her and Xander took care of the bug guy.

They took care of the bug guy... and each other! ;)
She does tell Buffy in Halloween "Angel's a good vampire, he would never hurt you", so I just assumed that she got it that episode.

I agree with Taake, after her comment back to Buffy & Willow in Halloween i just assumed that she had understood from that point that Angel was a friendly vampire.

No, she didn't get it in Halloween.

CORDELIA: Buffy! Are you okay?

(Buffy sees Angel, yelps and cowers behind a box)

CORDELIA: What's your deal? Take a pill!

BUFFY: He's, he's a vampire!

CORDELIA: (to Angel) She's got this thing where she thinks... Uhhh, forget it. (to Buffy) It's okay. Angel is a good vampire. He would never hurt you.

BUFFY: Really?

CORDELIA: Absolutely. He's our friend.

She turned to Angel to tell him that Buffy thought he was a vampire, then she talks to Buffy in a slow voice, as if to a mental patient (or someone who's under a spell). She clearly thought Buffy was wrong about Angel being a vampire.

Then I assume she had been filled in on the Angel being Drusilla's vampire sire thing.

Although, she does live in her own little bubble sometimes, so maybe she didn't? She just thought Angel, the human, needed saving?

Question cordy finding out about Angel being a vampire

I think Cordelia being filled in on Angel being Drucilla's sire is the correct assumption.

She turned to Angel to tell him that Buffy thought he was a vampire, then she talks to Buffy in a slow voice, as if to a mental patient (or someone who's under a spell). She clearly thought Buffy was wrong about Angel being a vampire.

Well that's open to interpretation, to me she did not turn to Angel for that reason. To me she did it to say kind of "sorry for her being all looney and not knowing you and thinking you're dangerous"
...and then the end of that line indicated to me that she realized Buffy hadn't lied to her earlier in the bathroom (when she told Cordy Angel was a vampire)

Cordy was a smart girl, she might have thought Buffy was making it up earlier but seeing even crazy amnesia Buffy thinking Angel was a vampire, she would have put two and two together even without seeing his vamp face.

"She's got this thing where she thinks... " sounds as if it would lead to "you're a vampire", not "you're a dangerous vampire" or something like that. I saw no realization hit her as she spoke, and I don't think then writers would let Cordy figure it out off screen during a episode, when they could have continued making fun of Cordy's ignorance in another scene, which is what I think they did.

I googled the original script:

BUFFY
(re: Angel)
He's... he's a vampire!

Cordelia rolls her eyes - looks to Angel like, "what a ditz".

CORDELIA
(to Angel)
She's got this thing where
she thinks - ah, forget it.
(humoring her)
It's okay. Angel is... a good
vampire. He'd never hurt you.

BUFFY
He - really?

I think the directions in the script supports my point. Specially the humoring part. Cordy doesn't explain the truth, she just goes along with the crazy-because-of-a-spell chick's fantasy.

But we can't know for sure unless someone involved in that scene actually says so, of course.

I'm with you.

Perhaps, but then that she does get it then is supported by the fact that afterwards it's not brought up again and Cordy does seem to know.

There was so much potential in a scene where Cordy finds out he's a vamp in a funny way. Maybe he vamped out in front one her and she freaked out.

I really wish her realizing he was a vamp had been shown on screen, wherther it happened in Halloween between the bathroom scene and the Buffy-under-the-spell scene, or after that episode.

A lot of comedic potential in that but in a different way how Buffy found out. It would be a case of been there done that.
Question Cordy finding out about Angel being a vampire

One thing that is telling is that after Halloween you don't see Cordelia coming onto Angel anymore. Maybe that is a little indication she knows. I don't think it goes on off screen either. I think things start happening between her and Xander.
