I always had a small hope that someday in the future Cordy & Xander might reconnect, although I Loved him with Anya. Different shows poses a problem, but am I the only one who misses those two? Remember when he secretly bought her prom dress for her?
 
That was actually the only moment I ever really saw them showing some kind of love. But by then it was clear the he was over her and he knew they would never work out!

But remember he had given her that heart necklace, and there was a scene even after they'd broken up when she's at the Bronze and after they exchange cutting remarks and he walks away she takes it out of her pocket looking all sad like she wished things were different? And then the prom dress thing just made me cry. I always thought a few years later when they were grown-ups it might work.:: inlove

Yes, I realize that it's probably my personal fantasy and will never be 🙂
 
they cared for each other and i think she they were both sad that it ended the way it did. But I think both of them knew that it woud never have worked between them chalk and cheese and all.
 
I think that Xander & Cordy have both grown up in different ways. And at this stage I still think Cordy is far more mature than Xander on their corresponding shows. The fact that Xander had too many insecurities to go through with a marriage to Anya wouldn't be what Cordy would be after.

And the indication of Cordy being in love with Angel would possibly hinder any chance of them getting back together with the way Xander always disliked Angel.
 
I think cheating...even a minor offense like Zander and Willow..destroys trust, which is essential for any healthy relationship. It takes a mighty big person to forgive and alot of hardwork to re-build. Since Zander and Cordy already had alot of other relationship issues before they broke up over the kissing incident and she is in LA (in love? with another), I don't think the re-pairing will happen.
 
I liked the two together, but I never thought it was any permanent relationship. Just a high school relationship showing that opposites do attract.
 
If anything, its a shame with Cordy & Wesley ending up on the same show that eventually they didn't get together.

Now that Cordy has matured and expanded really well they would have made a lovely couple around the season 3 ballet episode.

It was odd seeing Gunn & Wesley both chasing Fred.

And even more strange seeing Cordy make a play for Angel considering the curse.
 
I agree with AngelsSoul in that it just seemed to be a high school thing in which opposites got together. At the time, they shared a special bond but from the way they've both moved on, I don't think it would work. I always wanted Cordy to be with Wesley though... poor Wes is always getting shafted for someone else. 🙁
 
i always wished cordy and xander would get back together. i loved when they were, they were so funny when they bugged each other. i doubt it will happen now though as they are both older. but fingers crossed!
 
I liked them as a couple back then as well. I'm not sure they'd be a good fit these days. Cordy has just aspired to so much more than Xander LOL
 
I love Xander and Cordy, they were so funny but i also like Xander and Anya, But not Angel and Cordy or Connor and Cordy,

Cant it be like the old days in the end, a+b x+c w+t (ok so willow and tara aint new but they are great) and i think thats it but alas it is no more,

ah well atleast we have the scandles now
 
The old days would technically include Willow & Oz (who I thought were a very good couple)

But the scooby gang prove that relationships change over time - its just the way life is 🙂
 
I loved Cordy and xander, even though they argued all the time I do think that they did actually care for each other.
I think it would be great if they got back together now and i really think it would work cuz they've changed so much and Cordy isn't as bitchy as she used to be and besides, if Cordy and xander got back together that mean she wouldn't want to be with Angel anymore. Sounds good to me!

I think Xander has grown up a lot since high school, but Cordy has become a different person (even before the part-demon/higher being thing 🙂.

IMHO, if Xander and Cordy ever worked together again, his relationship with her would be a lot more like his current reationship with Buffy than his high school romance with Queen C.
 
I loved it when they were together.....they were so cute! Specially in the eppy "What's My Line Pt.2" in buffy's basement! **he-he** I wish they never broke up and that Cordy hadn't gone on with with Connor.....I mean that's just nasty!... ::Shivers::
 
well i'd have to agree i loved xander and cordy when they were together they were cute.but i don't think they'd be able to go back
 
Thank god!! I thought I was the only C/X shipper on this board! I definetly think they would have been cool together if lasted longer, but they are so different right now.

They were such opposites of eachother that the attraction and chemistry was there was so unbelievable. It was real cool.
Maybe they'll get to gether sooner or later. But I dont see it happening. Cordelia is much more matured, and Xander..is.. wlel Xander. Unless someone wants to argue with me that Xander hass matured? (I don't know, I don't really watch Buffy these days).

But I do agree that Xander does and always has cared for his friends. i.e. willow in season finale of s6.
