Cordy's Best Ship

Who was Cordelia best with?

Angel all the way. At first, I was a bit iffy on those two getting together. But really, all you have to do is watch either Waiting in the Wings or You're Welcome and you'll understand the appeal of these two. The whole 'friendship leading up to lovers' thing just makes it that much more tender and real. I really enjoy them together.

Definately after his can't be with relationship with Buffy, I loved him and Cordy together. CAngel rocks!
I voted for Xander with Cordelia, they had that chemistry of not being together and hating each other until they found a way into eachother's arms during a situation with Bug man. Its the love/hate thing that gets to me.

For me, if I could make any ship, I personally would have loved to see Doyle and Cordy end up together. I thought that he was just so against anything btvs season 1 (or even ats season 1) Cordy would have "gone for" that I would expect, it was great. And I think the two worked off each other hilariously well, and would have made an at times disfunctional, but at the same time balance each other out, as a couple. Although I did like her with Xander as well, I'm definitely more of a Cordy/Doyle fan.

Doyle and Cordy had definate potential to become something more . RIP Doyle
Groo. If not, Doyle (too bad he died too soon) or Xander (though I like him with another; Buffy) even Wesley (I like him with Fred or Lilah but I always got the feeling that Cordy would make a good lover for him); anyone but Angel.

I wasn't much of a GRoo fan, he sort of took her away from Angel.
I'm a Cangel shipper, I loved there relationship a lot more grown up then Bangel. I would have liked to see her relationship with Doyle though.

I really like the Cander ship! I thought they were really cute together, and I wish Xander wouldn't have fallen for Willow, becuase I liked willow and oz too.

I always wondered; Oz forgave Willow, why wouldn't Cordelia forgive Xander? 🙁

I think it's different when it's a guy that cheats on a girl, they take it to a more personal level, like if a guy ever kissed another girl and I found out, I could never forgive him cuz, it would make me feel like, he didn't want me, and that it was just me, and I think Cordy already thinking "me me me" was probably thinking along those lines...I think Oz just took it as a mistake, and that Willow didn't mean anything by it.

my vote goes to xander! i think they were perfect for each other. they started out as enemies but the scene in what's my line? where they first kissed was hilarious! and, yeah, their relationship was really sweet. they really loved each other and didnt care that not everyone approved of their relationship. xander defended cordy from willow and buffy, and cordelia defended xander from the cordettes. hey, he even did a love spell for her!

cangel? dont think so. they're better off as friends. groo? hate him. and PLEASE dont say wesley, or i may barf.

i went through a cordy/doyle phase when i first watched angel. they were so cute together and he really loved her - but then he had to go and die. damn. anyway, coyle's my second choice after cander.

no, i think it's because cordy's prouder than oz. she would've forgiven xander but her pride (and her humiliation) held her back. to oz, it was only the betrayal. but to cordy, it was the betrayal AND the embaressment.

Can't give positive karma, because I have to "spread before giving karma to you again". I agree. That makes a perfect sense. I liked the humanist approach.

C/A - Could've been great, but wasn't. As soon as they introduced "kyerumption," everything went downhill, IMO. And Cordy trading in her wonderful b!tch-with-a-heart-of-gold personality for that of a generic female protagonist definitely didn't help. Part of the appeal of this 'ship is that Angel enjoys being the male half of a heterosexual power couple (as we saw with Bangel, and Angel/Darla), which requires hooking up with the alpha female. Cordelia could've been the ultimate alpha female had she retained her style and attitude whilst also making the transition from girl to woman. Sadly, about two-thirds of the way through AtS s3, she lost most of her personality and became a somewhat boring, watered-down version of herself. And since Cordy wasn't as interesting as she should've been at that stage, neither was this 'ship.

C/X - They had their moments, I suppose, but love/hate 'ships don't do much for me. That, and he cheated. And I don't think Cordy was wrong for leaving him permanently. (Though I think it's unfair to say she didn't forgive him. I thought that was the whole point of their subplot in The Prom.)

C/G - He's handsome and adorable and worships her. Too bad he came along at the wrong time in her life.

C/W - They're kinda my guilty pleasure, for the most part, but I do think that their relationship could've become a bigger part of the 'verse, had it been handled right. I especially love the idea of Wes developing an interest in her and trying to help her understand her demonization circa-s3, while her feelings for Angel are just dawning on her. Could've been a great storyline, and would've provided a nice parallel later on, as Wes basically becomes Angel 2.0 and then hooks up with Lilah, who is the evil/shadow version of Cordy.

C/D - They could've been a great couple, too, but I'm more or less content with him dying as early as he did. It's just one of those big things that I could never imagine rewriting.

C/other - Much like Lilah and Faith, Cordy's the sort of character I could pair with practically anybody, if for no other reason that it's HOTT. Which is what fanfiction is for, I suppose.

For me there is only one choice, and that is Angel. We saw them go through all stages of their relationshp from the start, from friends to colleagues and then eventually more, and I bought in to that instantly because I like to be led through a love story from the beginning and watch it develop. I could believe in their story because it seemed natural that two people who were so close and had been through so much together would eventually develop romantic feelings for each other.

I simply adored watcing them fall for each other without even knowing it was happening, it felt like a wonderful privilege that the viewers were allowed to see what the characters weren't for such a long time. I was sure from very early on that Angel was falling in love with Cordy (the latter half of season two solidified that), but she was more of a closed book until Couplet in season three, when she gave Groo a makeover so that he looked just like Angel. That was like a total neon sign to me - subconcsiously her heart lay with Angel and she thought that by making Groo just like him she could love him as she loved Angel. That was when I knew that no matter what else happened they loved each other and I thought it was a very beautiful thing.

Of course what happened later was tragic and a waste of what could have been a wonderful ship, but You're Welcome went some way to healing those wounds, it was a beautifully done and very emotional episode. It just showed how amazing they could have been if Joss had taken the gamble and given them a chance.

C/A all the way.

Groo for sure, then Doyle of course. Xander didnt really do much for me.. and Angel with Cordy seemed forced where it didn't fit. But I'm pretty set in my Bangel ways so Angel with just about anyone else seems wrong to me 😉

i really think cordy was the best with angel. their growth together on angel was really great, and you could just see the love grow between them. it's a shame it never got the chance to work out.

i also liked cordy with xander. but it seemed like all that could ever be was a high school relationship. it never would have lasted between them just because they didn't seem like the type of people that could be in a long-term couple together. (besides, i'm a xanya shipper for life, hehe)

i have to say xander
i think mainly because theirs was the relationship i could relate to back when i first watched the show
i idolised the B/A relationship but i always thought that C/X was the most real
plus the lust/angst/flirt vibe always made me smile

I was going to vote Xander, but I prefer him with Anya, so I voted Groo. But I actually forgot about Doyle, I think him and Cordy woulda made a great couple 🙁

And I have a strong disliking for Angel/Cordy. I think they're way better off as just friends.

Other; Doyle.
I was actually torn between both Doyle and Xander. I loved both those Cordy relationships. But I had to go with Doyle. They would have been such an amazing couple.
