Cordy's Hair?

It looked fine right up until the time she ascended, it was like mushroom/bowl style...but shorter.
It was ok in the Angel's little dream of everyone at the dinner table. But it wasn't back to normal until
after Spin the Bottlesih.

I hated her hair and it seemed as if whenever her hair would change, the charecter would slowly become worse and worse. I was fine with her hair cut at the end of S2 but after that, TPTB should have stepped in and stopped her and kept her away from stylists and hair coloring products.

Well said, well said.

I've always enjoyed Charismas different do's. She's the only member that really ever spiced things up in that area.

On Angel maybe, Anya's hair was an ever changing entity of it's own on Buffy.

At any rate, I like long dark wavy Cordy hair better than her shorter do's. I do remember reading somewhere that it was a lot of work to maintain the long hair though.

I didn't like it at all either..

Was there some kinda real life reason she made that choice? Did the powers that be on the show make her do it? What, I'm dying to know..

And it's funny when I have short hair I look like a little kid lol..

I was just talking about this the other day.
I really think the short hair made her look a lot more fat than she was. Even before the whole pregnancy thing.
I was so jealous of her hair in Angel season 1. It just always looked perfect!

Thats expensive hair products for you haha.
You know when I look at S3 sometimes I think it's a whole different season because of Cordy's hair I mean it changes so much and many times throughout the season. Honestly though I thought she looked younger with the short barb look she sported in the end to S2 and beginning to S3. But you guys are right after that she started to look horrible almost like a different person especially with what was going on with her eye brows.

In a European interview Charisma did after being fired from Angel (it's on YouTube), Charisma said that the show made her change her hair style because they considered it too expensive and time consuming to maintain. I always found that funny, how they can have uber-prosthetic make-up on the demons, CGI effects, and Cordy's hair was too hard/expensive.

I think it was on one of the DVD commentaries where Charisma stated that she requested for her hair to be allowed to be cut because it got too heavy. Though that could also only mean when she had it down to her waist and doesn't really explain all of the other changes.

In an interview I saw on Youtube, Charisma says that she was told she wasn't allowed to change her hair. So she got extensions put in for season 2 to spite them. Eventually, she convinced them to let her get a hair cut.

Now that you mention it... I think I saw that one too. Hmm...
I didn't hate the chin-length bob she had, but I hated it when it was blonde and ubershort. Charisma pretty much always had wonderful hair, but my favorite was S1 of Angel. 🙂 If we're talking throughout her whole Whedonesque career, though, I'd go with S3 of Buffy. 🙂

O.K. I started watching the Buffyverse for the 1st time in May starting from the beginning. I'm currently watching Buffy Season 6/Angel Season 3.

I loved Cordelia's look before she cut hair (Buffy S1-S3, Angel S1 and part of S2). I thought I was going to hate her haircut in S2 because I've already seen several promo pics for S4 which she looks awful in, but it was Okay and I got used to it because she was still fine.

I was okay with her hair for the 1st 14 episodes of S3, but a few hours ago I just watched "Double or Nothing" (episode 18 of S3) when she comes back from vacation with the Groosalugg and her hair is now shorter than ever and she dyed it blond. It look awful and a lot like the promo pics for S4.

So for the thread starter, you're not the only one who hates her hair. I'm really disappointed with the look because to me Cordelia has always been the finest female in the Buffyverse (especially before she cut her hair). I had her ahead of Buffy, Faith, Harmony, Darla, Amy and etc.

But now she has fallen off.

I loved the short dark hair on Cordy, that long, boring, dark hair was just so 'blah' to me. Not keen. Blonde didn't suit her at all.

I figure the changes this way in my own little Cait world:

The hair extensions were to heavy, she was told that she would need to get them cut (as having ultra long hair extensions can cause permanent hair loss problems). There were problems with getting them cut off so she needed to go short. They decided to make her go blonde as part of the whole cordy-is-no-longer-cordy-from-high-school thing.

i liked the first time she got her hair cut, (short bob)
when wesley's like " what happened to your head?"

i hated how her hair was getting shorter and blonder each time, she looks better with dark hair if ye ask me.

The hair doesn't bother me as much as the eyebrows do. They're way too arched and certain facial expressions exaggerate it even more and she just always looks shocked. Plus, the amount of make-up they put on her most of the time is ridiculous.

I thought I was the only one that didn't like the eyebrows.
I really, really like the shorter, black hair she had in s2 of Angel. And I love the dark, long hair.
But the blonde hair... I didn't think it was awful, but she looks a lot better with the darker hair. The blonde hair makes her look kinda old too

I hated her hair at the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4 of Angel, she looked old and like a mom. But I love her hair when she's in Buffy and s1,2,beginning of s3, and s5 of Angel.
