Cordy's return from the Higher Plane

In the beginning of the season Cordy was stuck as a Higher Being and complained of it being really boring. She couldn't wait to be returned to her human life. Then she broke the rules by helping Angel. I don't remember what it was that she did but he actions got her kicked out of the Higher Plane so she returned to Earth as her former self.

What I'm wondering here is why is that Cordy lost her memory? Was that the doing of the Powers that Be? I'm not sure because later on when she regains her memory in the episode directed by Joss Whedon, she goes to have sex with Connor then becomes all evil.

These events all somehow connects I'm just unsure of how. Did she get removed from the Higher Plane because the Powers that Be believed she's evil or because she broke the rules? When did she become evil and what was it the direct cause of it?

I think she found a way to get out of the Higher Plane (b/c she wanted to help Angel and friends so badly) and the amnesia was a side effect or like some sort of punishment from the Powers for finding a way to interfere(b/c she wasn't supposed to).

I don't know why she goes all evil after sleeping w/ Connor.

I wondered that about her memory. And that creature that flashes on the screen when she gets her memory back...is that when she "changes" to evil? Because why does that thing flash on the screen then....? I didn't imagine that did I?

hmmmm maybe you imagined that... I don't remember that.

Wasn't Cordy kind of "kidnapped", in the 100th Angel episode, she said that her body was... (don't remember exactly) hi-jacked by another TPTB?

I thought that the whole Cordy ascending thing was a long-term plan orchestrated by Jasmine so she would have a vessel which could give birth to her (Jasmine that is) in human form - wasn't that the hi-jacking by the "PTB"?

I'm not sure when Cordy changed either. I figure that she might have changed after "Spin the Bottle." I don't recall if Cordy put something in her mouth. I believe that she did. A drop of something and then her memory came back then she went all evil.

I guess what could have happened is that Cordy discovered that she is in love with Angel but nothing would have come of it so she didn't want to pursure it any further. I remember the final moments of this episode was really special between Angel and Cordy. I believe that Cordy was truly herself when she had sex with Connor. The transformation would have occured after that. I guess the baby, Jasmine, took over from the inside very much like how Connor as a baby took over Darla while in the womb.
