I'm a little surprised anybody other than a Canadian has heard of this. Do you guys get it down there, or did you discover it online?
But yeah, I like it. It has what I think is a common trait of Canadian comedy which is at first impression you think "this is dumb" then it sneakily addicts you.
It reminds me of Seinfeld in a way in that really it's about nothing, except here it's about nothing in a nothing one gas-bar town in a Saskatchewan prairie town. The characters, again, dumb at first, warm to you with their eccentricities.
It's different than the more flat out hilarious Canadian comedy series Trailer Park Boys in that it's more about the giggles, than the aching belly laughs.
My favorite Canadian comedy series right now though is the online gem
Pure Pwnage. If you'd like to see if you can get into it, try the first bit from the last episode
HERE, you'll know right away if it's your kind of thing, even though it has nothing to do with the actual characters.
