BBC Coverage of the Coronation

@November - highlights for me: the gray horses in their royal blue livery; the man in a kilt walking behind Camilla, and the craft/artistry of the paraphernalia (sorry to report there's very little crochet) and the building. Oh - and this woman was carrying The Orb (?).

Otherwise - meh. If I ever see a flag again it will be too soon.

I liked when he kissed the bible.

Where's George?

He's one of the pages.
I like the sword lady. The kids in the choir probably have the best view of everything going on.

Prince Louis is still there, between Charlotte and Catherine

Twitter likes the sword lady (aka Penny Mordaunt).

"Penny Mordaunt dressed like she's about to go stab a Lannister."
"Penny Mordaunt has now been holding that sword longer than Liz Truss was Prime Minister."

@Bop - and he's back! I reckon there's a good twin and an evil twin.

Anyone know why two of the page boys wore black and the rest in red?

Well, I quite enjoyed it.

Pretty old-fashioned ceremony in many ways (like Medieval-traditional) which is surprising for such an openly progressive guy. And I liked the emphasis on musical spectacle. And somebody finally got to wear those dusty old crowns that are usually in the tower.

Sidenote; Westmister Abbey is like, one of most wonderful places to visit.

I think Louis has disappeared.

Solved the intermittent Louis. According to the ITV Royal Correspondent, he was to be seated but then "retired" for a while partway through the service. "Retired" (complete with "") is their word.

Yeah Louis probably got restless and had to be retired for a bit. He was yawning towards the beginning of the ceremony 😅
I'm still debating about the concert tomorrow, there's no one I'd say I would like to listen to. However I want to see that stage!

I'm tempted to see what's available in the sales next week, as sadly Charles won't be celebrating many years as King. If he's very lucky he might see a silver jubilee, but it's not likely. I do hope that he lives at least 10 more years though, so that George doesn't be the young heir like he was.

I want to watch Ncuti Gatwa's performance at the concert tomorrow because he'll be the next doctor

The whole thing is so absurd so I find it hard not to like it.
All the history behind this spectacle is so fascinating imho.
