I need petrol at some point in the next week or two, but I don't really need it yet. So, I held off getting it. That looks to have cost money.
I didnt even look at the price of petrol today. Had to get it regardless. My fuel card is definitely all done, I tried to use it again and got declined, I thought that maybe a fuel fairy put more on it, but no luck haha.

The news keeps talking about gas prices going down, but not by much here. At least they're under $5 a gallon again. The economists wonder why the populace isn't happier about inflation being down "except food and gas." What do they think we buy, and therefore notice, every week?
V Day made me reflect on how much a bad relationship costs ya! Holy crap I am so glad I got out of that. 7 years on and I am still not financially recovered. Never, ever again. Not worth the risk to be sucked dry like that again.
Definitely going to get another mattress soon. Even if its cheap its gona be better than what I have.

Sat here freezing cold. Just put my heating on to take the chill off at 6pm. Got me wondering, I normally only put the heating on these days when I need to dry clothes. What about you? Its so expensive.

What heating do you have? I have gas central heating, Popped it on around 6pm and will prob turn it off around 8.

So in my quest to save money, time and my sanity I have decided to sign up for Walmart Plus which includes free delivery. It’s free for the first month and then $12.99 a month after.
I was thinking about it and think it will actually save me money, and definitely time.
So I go grocery shopping there four times a month. It’s five miles from my house, so I’m using a lot of gas and it takes quite a bit of time with traffic. I usually spend an hour in the store.
Also the parking lot gives me anxiety. I’ve been almost hit a few times. And it’s always super crowded in the store with long lines and minimal staff. Ordering my groceries and other household items online and having them delivered every week will feel so luxurious. I’ve never done this before.
Does anyone else here use grocery delivery service? Do you like it? What do you pay for it? Have you had any issues?

Yes, I do a once a month delivery, it saves me money, as even with a list I always buy extras. I start the order about a week or so in advance, then can alter it up to the night before it arrives. I don't pay a monthly cost for mine as it didn't work out cheaper than me paying the delivery fee once a month. If I book a 4 hour slot, its £3, and they then give an hour slot on the day.
Yep, its awesome for me. Like, life-changing. Its 200km round trip to coles. Its 80km round trip to the nearest (extremely expensive) IGA. The delivery felt expensive at first, with a $50 minimum, but now its *just* right.
Sometimes its annoying with fresh stuff to get things that are on the verge of rot, but it still saves me petrol and half a day in travel.
They sneak in little extra charges every few months. They dont offer a bagless delivery option, so bags started as 25c and creeped up to $1.50. Delivery is $2 on a Tuesday and $4 on a Saturday for an 8 hour slot. It only allowed orders 3 days on advance so I have to be on the ball to get a spot. I am delighted with it. Cant wait for delivery drones for more options 😀
It's a £50 minimum for me too, first I thought I'd never hit that, but actually it's quite easy, especially if I need things like toilet paper or cleaning stuff.
Mine is booked for March 4th, so I've got until the end of the month to edit it, see if new offers appear or stock levels change.
I don't buy much fresh stuff, as I never get through it all before it goes bad, usually just bananas, potatoes and mushrooms. Anything else fresh is freezable.
I like to try out different frozen things when I need to bulk up the order a bit. Usually pastries!

Besides the wind this would be a great place to run drones to! I imagine they are not far off grocery warehouses that dont allow customers inside either, with all of the crime going on. Although how well do drones stand up to kids pelting rocks at them?

Ooh thats interesting. I just got an email from the vet stating that I'm pre-approved at that centre. That puts my mind at ease in terms of emergency vet care for the pets. Not something I applied for, perhaps just a perk of using one place for so long and paying bills on time, everytime. Its recently changed ownership so I was surprised to get this email.
My new mattress is AMAZING! 🤩 I am stoked! It was the cheapest mattress I have ever got and it's fantastic! I knew my last (extremely expensive) mattress was hurting my back and neck, but didn't realize to this extent! Its been 2 nights on the new bed and I didnt trip AT ALL on my walk this morning. I havent been dizzy, and I can feel my feet as soon as I get up. I washed my hair and didnt have to take a break halfway through, I could feel my arms the entire time and didnt get faint in the shower. I am so happy!
Havent got the delivery fee invoice yet. It was odd how easy it all was! So Im hoping no surprises on the invoice. They quoted "around $80" for me, which is very reasonable, but the men who delivered it didnt take payment. I suppose they have my address so they'll send a print invoice I guess. The only bad part was the delivery men STINK. It lingered a bit, but at least they weren't inside for long.
If the delivery is under $100, even if I get a new mattress every three years, it works out cheaper than physio is! So if this cheap mattress only has to last two to three years to be worth it. I rekon thats pretty good!
