Could Angel have changed Faith in "Consequences"?

Do you think if Wesley and The Watchers' Council hadn't interfered, could Angel had turn Faith into good again
 
I'm not sure.... good question though!....

I don't know if she was really ready yet.

I'll need to think about this more.
 
Very possibly. For me, Angel was always the person to help Faith. Despite Buffy's good intentions, because of their broken sorority and issues of jealousy, she wouldn't have reached Faith. She sympathized but couldn't connect with Faith in a way that Angel could. It's not her fault, but just the way it worked out.
 
I believe that Faith was in a vulnerable position. However, I also believe that she trusted Angel and knew he was trying to help her. Wesley and the Watchers Council disrupted any plans Angel could have had to help Faith. She no longer trusted anyone at that point. Imagine being in her position. Your trying to become a better person and you feel as though you only have one person on your side. Then BAM you are attacked by a bunch of british guys who's only agenda is to send you away.
 
Faith needed someone to understand her. She turned "evil" because she felt no one really understood, cared and loved her. She started seeing Angel as that person, who might care for her. So yeah, I believe he would have, not changed, but make her see the right path again. The path she got lost in. He knows how she feels, because they're very similar. And Faith noticed that. That's why Angel was the one to bring her back. Unlike Xander, who believed he and Faith had a connection. They didn't, and it failed. Buffy tried too, but she started giving up on her, because she tried to help her, but all she got from her was a spit in her face by Faith. Faith did think Buffy was the one who would bring her bright future, bright life (as much as bright future and life as a Slayer can have). But Buffy didn't really understand her, even though she was a Slayer as well. And the reason was that Buffy lived a different life. She had friends, family, boyfriend.... They weren't really walking in the same path, the same world. That's why Angel was the person who would have brought her back to being "good".
 
Angel was definitely getting somewhere with her. He was the only person who could understand what she was going through, and she knew that. You could just tell that she felt kind of...I don't know, betrayed maybe when the Council took her. Wesley tends to ruin a lot of things when he decides to run off and kidnap people. Ugh.
 
I think he would have. He helped her in Angel, so I do think he could have reached her in season 3 of Buffy. Faith was just lost and vulnerable. I think it would have been easier to help her in season 3 of Buffy than later on because the longer she went without help the darker she became.
 
Yeah, there were definitely signs that a breakthrough could've happened. Maybe not all at once, since it took Faith a few years to turn around after this, but it's clear that Angel was about to pull her out of the darkness before the Council showed up.

Also, I know this is a little off-topic but I've always wondered why the Council just tasered and restrained Angel instead of trying to kill him right there - after all, their entire organization is centered around killing demons and vampires and they don't really see in shades of gray.
