Could Anya Be Resurrected?

If Willow really wanted to she could probably bring her back either way. But i dont think she died of mystical causes, anyone could be killed with a blade, so she couldn't be ressurected the way Buffy was.

Or maybe the rules are like Darla's was... Darla had her second chance at life so she couldn't have another one. Even though Anya never actually stopped living, she had another chance at a human life...

i dunno, who said Anya died? Maybe she was out of it, and a demon poofed and saved her fat chnace, but hey.

The last time we saw Anya her body had been sliced in segments, from the bottom right of her neck to the top left of her hip.

If she lived through that, I'm going to expect the return of Darth Maul.

You may not violate the laws of natural passing.
WILLOW: How? How is this natural?
DEMON: It is a human death, by human means.
WILLOW: But I-
DEMON: You raised one killed by mystical forces. This is not the same. She is taken by natural order. It is done. "

A human death, by human means. The Demon said that a person can't be raised if they died a natural death. Anya's death wasn't natural because she wasn't killed by a human being but by a mystical force. The natural order in my opinion is that of people. Humans kill other humans without resorting to magic therefore deaths like Tara's are natural. Tara was murdered with a gun by an ordinary person. Anya was killed by a demon. I don't think the weapon matters when it comes to reserection. Besides even if it did the swords weren't human-made. A demon forged blade isn't a "natural" weapon to me. When the demon defined natural he did so based on humanity. People die at the hands of other people or from sickness or accidents with nothing mystical involved. Anya's death and for that matter Lilah's death had strong mystical elements. If it wasn't for very powerful supernatural forces neither woman would have died. Anya was murdered by an ubervamp and Lilah by Jasmine. I think reserection would work. The problem in Anya's case is that if she went to a heaven or better rebirth on a different plane(does it work that way in Buffy--rebirth thing?) she would be yanked out of her new blissful existence, and we all know how that ends. Lilah is in Hell, but I have to wonder how bad a hell controled by W&H is for her. W&H can reanimate her at will and owned her soul regardless of her actions after she signed with them. So wouldn't they make hell pleasant for a loyal employee. I don't think Buffy/Angel opperates on a Christian conception of hell. After all Glory was a hell-god and very happy indeed. Maybe a person can be at least peaceful in Hell.

I suppose with 'the natural order' about the Urn of Osiris, and that her death may or may not have been considered 'natural', that point is to be argued.
But, certainly, I would say her death was considered 'heroic', in the 'Where is Anya' thread, they talk of how she basically tortured men in her demon days, which could result with her going to Hell, but at that exact moment of her death, she was doing good, she saved Andrew's life, and she was killing Ubervamps and Bringers, so, would the 'Higher Powers' even consider her being ressurected after all of the mayhem she caused, or would like look over that and say she died hero as a hero, and maybe consider it?
See, there's many different points and arguments to be made, and its unclear which would actually pass...
