I was just thinking if Groo had stayed around and gotten Cordy pregnant after she descended, would the baby be a suitable body or vessel fo jasmine afterall Groo still is at least half demon, just as connor is, what do you think, i know Jasmine didnt plan on Groo being her father otherwise why ensure connor was born but i think Groo could have been a suitable donor?

Probably not. Can't see any reason behind the entire Connor thing if she could have settled with Groo. Why go through all the trouble of creating Connor if all she had to do was the dimension skip Groo.

I don't think Groo could have been the father, under any circumstances. I think the reason Connor was suitable for the task is because he was a 'miracle child.' He was conceived and born out of the union of two vampires (who are, essentially, dead); a thing never seen in the entire history of vampirism, and will never be seen again. That made Connor unique, imo. It wasn't just the demon in him that Jasmine required, it was that unique thing as well.

IF the argument is meaning Connor is void of the situation, then what stops it...He is half demon, she was taken on high.....the demon have could fertilize whatever.....the cycle can be explained without Connor and with Groo.

i don't think that groo was jasmine's dad. darla and angel gave connor to the world cause it was written at the prophercies because he was meant to be with cordy and be jasmine's parents.
The way I understand it was only Connor who could father Jasmine. Connor was the life owed to Angel by the PTB's when Angel succesfully went thru the trials to save Darla. But seeing as how Darla was already brought back to life it could not be used to save Darla.
Therefore when Angel and Darla hooked up and she enjoyed the encounter 3 times and him twice the life owed was paid to Angel and the conception of Connor occured which was the impossible birth created that was needed to father Jasmine when he slept with Cordy/Jasmine. Jasmine could only be conceived by a special vessel not just some ordinary demon schmuck.
Therefore when Angel and Darla hooked up and she enjoyed the encounter 3 times and him twice the life owed was paid to Angel and the conception of Connor occured which was the impossible birth created that was needed to father Jasmine when he slept with Cordy/Jasmine. It couldn't have been Groo because they explained that Conner's birth (the impossible birth between two vampires) was all a setup for Jasmines birth. The only reason Angel got a kid was so that Conner could grow up and impregnate Cordelia, to produce Jasmine. It was all apart of the master plan.

Lets think about the facts for a moment.
Its a TV show.
Its written by people.
Anything is possible in the realms of imagination.
Now, if we take those on board and re-write Angel Season 2/3/4/5 to not involve the creation of Connor but everything else, more or less, happens as is, could Groo have fathered Jasmine in season 4 in 'Apocalypse Nowish(?)' by having sexual relations with possessed Cordelia, remembering that he himself is not a Human, instead a 'Half Breed'?....ummmm yes.
Would it be believeable?.....ummmm yes.
Infact taking into account the 'facts' I used up at the top, would it have been possible for the father to have been Fred using a strap-on and Burger King special Sauce?.....ummm yes(and kinda the one I want to see).
If anyone is suggesting that Groo is the Father of Jasmine now, then thats a separate issue, as we know that he isn't, but if the question is 'is it possible?' tyhen absolutely.

Yeah. You're right about that. But you could re-write the entire show and leave Conner out, and they could still have Jasmine involved in the show. I do agree with that, but I hated Groo's character even more than I dislike Conners. So would I be happy about that? Probably not. But It was never anyone's choice but the writers, and I think what they did, was a remarkable job.
