Could they still make a Season 6 for a 10th anniversary

When they cancelled Angel i was soo dissapointed , the series still had soo much to offer and having read the book it would have made it amazing.

Could they still make a Season 6 if Joss persuaded any channel to revive the show i mean if they can do with Dallas then surely they could do it with Angel too 😛

However they could base Season 6 on present day showing some little flashbacks of the old days and the (off screen years) , if i had billions of cash and a TV Channel i would so bring it back 😀
 
I think the show is long defunct. Charisma and David are both regulars on other series', so if we get a 6th season, it could probably only be in comic form.
 
I don't think so. 10 years is a lot of aging in a human face for an immortal vampire (or their make-up artist) to have to hide 🙂 Also, while I hear a lot of people (on here at least) saying they would like a cinematic or televised ciontinuation of the BtVS storyline, there doesn't appear to be that much enthusiasm for a continuation of Angel. If there's not that much enthusiasm for it on here, I can't see there being any outside of the fandom. Which is a shame as I think there is definitely a story to be tld.

Yeah this is true since Vampire's don't age but however they could introduce a flashback storyline where Spike and Angel found a demon that can age the undead from the start of the revival episode then Angel narrating over on a flashback of what happened during the off screen years , where He and Spike had sacrificed their youth to save a 10 year old child from dying where the only cure to this is for an undead person to sacrifice their youth to prolong her life which age both Angel and Spike by 16 years each allowing the child to live another 32 years.

It could work though anything is possible in the buffy verse 😀

I don't think so, as sad as it is to say. It's pretty tough for any series, no matter how good, to come back after being off the air for that long. It becomes hard to attract new viewers when you revive a sixth season of a show almost ten years later.

If we get anything, I'd say it would be a movie (and that's probably still a long shot). I could see a Buffy movie being made with Angel and Spike, but that's about it. I'd love to see it though.
 
I don't think that very many, if any, fans would complain about either James or David looking older if a movie or new TV show were ever made. Certainly, it would take a little away from the mythology of the character, but "Star Trek" got away with it quite easily with Spock in the movies. Vulcans are supposed to have a life span measuring in the hundreds of years, which would have meant that Spike should have looked the same in the movies as he did on the original show, but Leonard Nimoy quite obviously couldn't have pulled that off, so they just ignored it, kept making the movies, and as far as I can recall, no one ever complained, either about Spock's progressing age or Kirk's new curly hairpiece We were just glad to see the old gang back together again. If Joss had the time, resources, and desire to make a new movie starring his original cast, and assuming that James and David would be available and willing to reprise their roles, I seriously doubt that anyone would complain that Spike looks older or Angel has picked up a few pounds since the end of Season 5. We would just be happy to see them back in action again.

I don't think there's enough people interested in an Angel movie, & I don't want a Buffy one, it would just ruin the show for me, it ended on a good note so leave it that way ..

If this could have been done, it would have to have been right after the end of the fifth season. Ten years later, you could count the people anticipating it one your thumbs. And Angel was an expensive show to produce. Lots of special effects, the high value of locked-in cast and the effort required to wrest all the original actors from their current projects and get them back together.

There is something of a stigma to a show being a spin-off, even if it is a great show. No TV exec would touch it and no advertisers would fund it. Many Angel episodes outshone their Buffy counterpoints, but it wouldn't make sense to bring Buffy back either and it was a more popular show.
 
I'd like to see them do 2-3 hour long Buffy/Angel movie if they just aired it on The CW & didn't release it in theaters. It could be a one time special event. I think they could make some good money out of it. I'm probably reaching. I know it'll never happen...I can dream though.

I will keep saying this ad nauseum: I want a Fray movie. They could have flashbacks of the old gang(s), or film the Buffy/Fray crossover from season 8 (
and Willow is still alive during Fray's time anyway
). I don't think people would mind small amounts of CGI to make the characters appear younger (like in the newest Tron movie), but I can't see viewers liking that for the full movie. I could be wrong though. Still, Fray needs to be made into a movie, oooh, or a mini-series!!!

And a Fray movie/miniseries could tell Fray's original story & expand upon it without contradicting anything in the comics. I know that Joss has said he would disregard the comics for a Buffy movie, but that was some time ago, and many issues ago (of both Dark Horse & IDW). I really don't see him doing it now, unless he does a reboot in 10 years or so.

After hearing James Marsters this weekend i know he would love to do another season of Angel and he said 'after David had his child he wanted to carry on with angel as it paid good!' lol damn. Ah well we can all hope and dream.
 
OOO I WISH!

I would love for Angel to return with a 6th season. Especially reading bits of After the Fall. I had a feeling if Angel did have a 6th season it would've been the best season of the show. When I saw the finale, I thought Joss would've done at least a film to finish off the series. I never saw "Not Fade Away" as a real Finale. It ends so sudden, and leaves you wanting to see the resolution of the battle unfold visually.
 
They could pull off a Buffy movie granted any canon vampires would have to be left out unfortunately. But all the other characters would have aged appropriately. Only a few problems with that, Would Joss even want to make a movie? Would SMG come back for a movie?

Also they would really need to keep the storyline canon with the comics or else risk pissing off many of the fans who took the time to read them. I don't expect Angel to be on the big screen anytime soon considering theres a storyline playing out currently with Angel and Faith.

Once they took both stories and converted them to comics, the universe got way to diverse to think about doing a movie or another TV series. Every single one of the main characters from both series have split up and gone to do their own thing. There's no practical reason for them to go back.

Winger and Gracen are supposed to be immortal, but I seriously doubt that any of the fans objected to it. There could just as well have been a movie made as this 3 or 4 part skit. Note that the title character, Duncan Macleod, is mentioned, several times, but is present only in spirit. This approach COULD work with Buffy, even if only minor cast characters were actually used.

I know that we would certainly prefer that Sarah, David, and the rest were actually there, but this is definitely an approach that would be better than nothing.
