Wow, that's interesting! Is Buffy back in high school? Flashback? And are those Xander and Willow on the floor? Dead and Zombie like?

I'm really excited about this twist, to be honest, when I read spoilers I thought it would be Bangel/Spuffy related. I was so relieved it was Buffy/Scoobies centric.

Just had another look at the cover there and it looks like Xander and Willow circa Welcome to the Hellmouth are the zombies on the floor.

This is becoming more and more curious.

Me too. I can't decide if it is a Buffy goes back in time deal or an alt verse deal. Or perhaps it's like After These Messages? Ya, know when she went back to season 1?

#36 might be too spoilery. The way it works out, the solicitations for #36 won't go out until #35 has already hit the shelves.
 
I don't get it...those two zombies are Will and Xander.They are all dressed up in their old high school outfits!something weird is going on...And Buffy has this scary/bewildered look on her face. And the high school is destroyed...
 
What a great Jeanty cover. I'm usually not a fan of his covers, but this one is awesome. It looks unique and more detailed than usual, and I'd say it's his best cover easily. And this issue is so far away...
 
Wow, interesting! Maybe it's a reference to one of her prophetic dreams. Perhaps she dreams that her friends die and reanimate as zombies for some strange reason...very classic S1 Buffy horror, back to the roots. I love it. Best Jeanty cover yet.

Okay i´m speechless. I dont have a freakin clue what´s going on here but i hope it has something to do with Buffy getting a wake up call. Bangel like this is just wrong.

You're not far wrong. Although I'd consult with Giles if I were you. May I suggest rewatching Prophecy Girl again?

That is the pivotal episode where things went so very awry in the Buffyverse regarding the Slayer. Unless Normal Again is a favorite of yours for that position. That episode was just... nifty. [And my favorite of the entire series].
Personally, I think that one is the best idea for a movie option idea to kickstart Buffy again for SMG should it ever come to pass in Studioland.

You could also rewatch Buffy vs Dracula again for another clue.
 
Maybe buffy has another run in with time but this time (no pun intended :X3🙂 instead of going to the future to kill dark willow she goes back in time to save her friends or something...
 
Hmmm I think maybe they're going full circle with "The Long Way Home". You know, going back to Sunnydale. God I miss that Hellmouth 😛
