The art is great. Buffy looks good and aged appropriately, but she also looks really sad. Like, it doesn't make me feel like it'd be something I want because it looks, even just from first impressions, like it's going to bum you out.

In my opinion the ending of season 9 is actually quite incredible and all sorts of uplifting. There are stakes and sacrifices, the gang is together again, there's lots of ass kicking and girl power and heroism and everything ends with a huge explosion! It's one of my favourite finales!

Her sister is well, seizing to exist because of what she did, Xander is obviously angry because of that and Willow's nowhere to be seen. Basically, shit hits the fan big time and there's seemingly no hope. But then Willow comes back and things get better. I mean, after a brutal battle, averted apocalypse and a huge explosion. It's classic BtVS.
 
I like the cover. Looks just like SMG. Even Xander looks a bit like NB, which is nice. I don't read the comics but some day I will.
