The first one is a great one of Xander and Dawn, I really like it.
The second one I like artistically. But since I'm not in on the plot the meaning of it is kind of lost on me.

The first one seems to show that The Key opened a portal to a demon dimension and Xander followed her there... The second one, seems to be Buffy and Spike x Willow and the army... or Spike x Buffy x Willow and the army... and what's that white thing over them?

At first I thought it was some sort of white goo monster descending on them all from above- like the low fat vanilla yohurt of evil!- but now I see its like a weird bat-vamp sillouette. 😳
I'm both relieved and oddly disappointed. I would've liked Buffy and co to fight 'The Stuff' (anyone remember that particular horror movie?).
The three faces sparated in meant to show a fractured group? Buffy, Willow and Spike all look very pensive.
The Xander/Dawn cover is fun enough. Going to a party where you do't know anybody (because their horrible monsters) apart from your ex sounds like some sort of metaphor I guess.

The cover by Rebekah Isaacs shows Xander and Dawn mingling with demons, no worries. But if they have gotten trapped in that hell dimension that appeared in #24 (the one opened by the Restless Door), it's a place as bad as Connor's Quor'toth! How Xander and Dawn alone will take all this, how they will survive?
And Dawn, The Key, isn't being able of open it back the Earth - would it be because The Key only opens portals from Earth to other dimensions? It was "an ancient mystical green energy with the power to unlock the gates between all existing dimensions", but it was from our dimension and maybe it doesn't work in others? Or the rules written on the book are making it difficult for Dawn to open a portal to Earth - and then, Buffy will write something on it to save her sister.
