You know what? unrelated to the comic but I would have thought that Xander would have had a prosthetic eye by now. I mean, that eyepatch is so 19th century. He looks like he is ready for some fun plundering on the high seas.

The other stuff...not so much. Probably just more shipper bait.

Like the Scoobie cover, the Spike one (what, again?) looks terrible though.

I think he's going for the Nick Fury look, minus the slick head element. During the TV series, Xander ofter made reference to Sgt Rock, DC Comics' WW2 hero, and I always assumed that he would have switched over to Marvel's counterpart, Nick Fury, after Season 7. Fury lost his own eye in, a special series about the Howling Commandos in Korea.

I like the second cover. The first one just made me roll my eyes. Is every issue about relationship stuff? Is there nothing more monumental going on?
