Crimes and Punishment

No not at all. We already know that there have been many leniancies made for the 'Verse heroes.

We have to look at the good Wes did by averting the wrath Illyria could have unleashed on thousands of innocent people. I suppose we are just supposed to let it slide that he wasn't turned over to the police....but instead was part of a bigger, better thing.

So, are you saying that if they had successfully battled the Senior Partners in that last fight, Angel would have turned Wes over to the police? Or Wes would have turned himself in? I doubt it.

At least in Willow's case, she had used magic to commit her crimes and thus, could not be prosecuted by the law. Andrew couldn't be prosecuted for Jonathan's murder, since Robin Wood, under the First Evil's possession, hid the body and Andrew cleaned the weapon. However, Buffy should have turned his ass over to the police for the robbery attempt in "Seeing Red".

But if I know Angel, he would have never turned Wes (who used a gun and a knife to commit his crimes) over to the police, regardless. I guess being head of W&H Los Angeles, has to count for something. Including allowing your friends to evade justice.

Nope never even implied that.

Wait so you're saying if the weapon used to murder someone is magic...then you shouldn't be persecuted under the law? Murder is murder no?

And now you're saying that it's ok Andrew wasn't persecuted because the body was disposed of? And Robin Wood was NEVER under the First's posession..the First could only occupy the form of those that had died.

I still don't see any relevance in the fact that Wes used a knife to commit a crime vs. Willow using magic.

Just thought of something, W&H apparently own the police, was mentioned in some episode of S5, I think Unleashed (that the name? the first Nina ep). Maybe it was Harm's Way.

I never realized, Jenny, that you were truly capable of misreading my posts - until now.

Did I say that it was okay for Andrew not to be prosecuted for Jonathan's murder? NO!!! I was stating that it would be impossible, considering that Wood got rid of Jonathan's body and Andrew had cleaned the weapon. There is no way the police would even arrest Andrew without any evidence to back up a case.

Am I condoning Willow's murder of Rack and Warren? No!!! How in the hell is the police going to convict her of murder, when she used magic to commit her crimes?

But Wes didn't use magic to commit his crimes. He used a gun on Knox and that other W&H employee and he used a knife on Charles. Furthermore, he committed his crimes in front of witnesses. Considering that situation, Angel should have turned his scrawny ass over to the police, for the law would have been able to prosecute the *******.

I know its not what you're meaning to say but you are you're saying its okay to murder as long as you don't get caught. I havn't seen S7 in a while but how well did Wood "dispose" of the body, I mean Faith tried that and look where it landed her.

Deep breaths, people, deep breaths.

I think that the reason Willow, Andrew, Wesley, and others haven't been prosecuted for their crimes as they legally should have been is due to what I like to call the "big picture phenominon" in which people feel that it's okay to bend and even smash to bits rules that prevent them from achieving what they believe is best in the greater scheme of things. Maybe this is a good way of looking at things, maybe it isn't. just remember that they way you can tell the good guys from the bad in most cartoons is that the good guys obey the law, even when it isn't convinient for them to do so. Just a thought.

Aaah I see where the problem is...see we somehow switched onto forensics here....evidence and the such. Not sure how that happened...but that's where the misunderstanding comes in.
