Crossover on Buffy IS Allowed

Here is what the president of the WB said: Regardless of Angel's fate, Mr. Levin says he's given Mr. Whedon permission to reunite Buffy and Angel on UPN for Ms. Gellar's finale, if she's quitting the role.
"I told Joss that if it was creatively justified, and in the best interest of the show's storytelling, and something he feels is necessary, I certainly wouldn't stand in the way," Mr. Levin says.

So it looks like Angel will be allowed in Buffy's finale. I can't see much of his purpose though. They couldn't do a romantic thing because it is the finale and she will be gone and they can't kill Angel because he still has his own show. If they do decide to use him, only reason I can see is for him to help fight The First. Too much has happened in each series now, they are completely different. Exciting nonetheless.

🙂 Still; it kinda rocks. I just hope at least Cordelia and Wesley can come onto Buffy if Angel gets to. So is this for any episode this season, or just for the finale? Or maybe more than just one episode? This still doesn't mean that Joss will do the crossover. -Really praying he does, though.
 
Well obviously Joss has thought about it if he seeked out permission to do so. I really don't like that line of "If this is SMG's last episode". That sounds like a throw in statement to me. It's almost a guarntee Sarah won't negotiate until after the season is over.
 
Sounds like the changes of her quiting are scaringly increasing. It's very nice of the president of the WB, thanks man ... you just earned your spot in heaven 😉 ... Anyway, Joss has probably been speaking with him about it, on one side I think it's cool if Buffy quits that Angel will be there to wave goodbye, on the other hand, the season plot is allready very cramped with subplots, so do we really need one more? I just hope there won't be any romantic evolvements conserning them!
 
It would only be for the finale, and if it is a 2 parter, which most are, possibly onlt the second half. It is beyond the point that anything could happen between Angel and Buffy romantically. My best guess would be for him to help in the fight or something about the monster on Angel or the First having to do with him coming to Sunnydale. It would also just be really nice having Angel return and congratulating Buffy on a good job winning the battle or just saying how proud he is of her.
 
I don't think Angel will be the First Evil, because don't you have to be dead to be the First? Wait a minute, Angel is dead! I mean the undead. Okay, I feel like a moron right now.

Okay, Angel can't be the First Evil. He might help Buffy and the others to fight the First Evil. I hope they make the crossover.
 
I think both characters have changed considerably so it would be interesting to see how a crossover would pan out. It would be a let down if it was poorly done though just so they could have the 'Angel' character in the last ever episode. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it actually happens.
 
I really hope they go a head with the crossover episode. I'm a really really big buffy/angel shipper:: inlove and i think it would be really nice if the last ever episode of buffy had some b/a romance in it. I'm sooooo excited. I really can't wait!::dance::
 
First step is permission. Second step is making it happen! I can't wait. Even it is just to help Buffy, I want to see them fighting side by side. Even if its just platonic. 🙁

i just wanna see , if she does die in the end, which could happen, i just wanna see her die in angels arms, CORDY BE DAMNED, if she can sleep with connor angel can go back to buffy. i think thatd be good closure and stuff, cause she said shed be his always, so she could be his at the end

I agree with you. They should do that in the end. I will love to
see that. Angel doesn't need Cordy, he needs Buffy.

I also agree that they need closure and maybe she finds out about the lost day.

It was also on several reliable websites, I think this is very lickely to be true!

I don't think they're going to have a closure ... at some point yes, but I think there will still be a possibility to turn to loving others, specially for Angel, since he has his own show to run!
 
i think it would be good, even if nothing romantic happens if she died, she'd be in his arms but if they was somethin romantic that would be nuf good.

i reckon a crossover for the finale would be great. in my opinion this is what i think would or would not happen:
a.) i don't think there will be anything romantic other than their usual chemistry purley because of the different directions the two characters have taken over the last few years.
b.) i also don't think buffy would die because that's already been done. and as we all know buffy dying does not mean the end of her. i don't know what would happen or where she would go but i think dying is out of the question because joss isn't the type to repeat himself.
c.) i think it would most likley be a fighting reunion, angel helping buffy and the gang.

plus even if the wb allows it doesn't mean joss is going to go for it. he might not be able to fit angel into the storyline without compromising the continuity on angel. but i have faith that joss' brilliant brain will come up with something.

I agree with you sweet tooth. Buffy has already died twice before, so I don't think Joss would kill her again and she has only just been brought back in S6. I also think it would be a bad way to end the last ever episode of Buffy.

I think that it will be a nice happy ending with Buffy moving on and leaving Sunnydale to retire and live the rest of her life and do everything she's always wanted to do... and possibly the occasional guest appearance on Angel.

And again, as we've already established, some Buffy/Angel romance in the season final would make my day!
 
Come on people!

Come on People we know what will hapen

Buffy will be fighting to the death with the big bad,
and the big bad will be beating buffy telling her "no one can save her now".
And suddenly Tah Dah* enter the hero Angel
he will have some witty remark to say and together they will Destroy the big bad.
then we will get that sexual tension, every one says goodbye.
Buffy dissapears to a better life
Angel goes back to LA (He's got work to do still)
Giles goes to his spin off
the rest get left behind (but there really happy)
