I have been noticing while writing my story, that I don't know that many of the in's and out's of many different pop and classic cultures in different countries. I am very curious about some of the things that you find you could never do without in your native country or what you know about some of your neighboring cultures.
The highlights in my story are England, Rome, France, and Ukraine; but I would love to hear about wherever you are from regardless. Can't wait to hear some of your favorite things. :: hiding:

Well ummm. My family on my dads side is from Taiwan (R.O.C- Republic of China) And my moms side is from Bosnia which is in europe. So I speak, Mandarin (chinese) and Cantonese (chinese) and I speak Bosnian.....learning japanese.
The culture in Taiwan is very much like here in the states. There very Americanised and there #1 song on the music charts is 'yeah' by Usher....wich is here as well. So yeah. They got GAP, GUESS, OLD NAVY AND ABERCROMBIE there which are like the best stores here........almost everyone speaks english and they LOVE rap lol. Pluss there Cell phones are totaly awsome!!!! TAIPEI TAIWAN IS MU BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!

Now I dont know much about the pop culture in Bosnia since I have not been there for like 11 years so Im not sure....but its not very advanced thats all I know.

And as soon as I get back for Japan this summer I will tell u what there pop culture is like......but I know that there #1 song on the charts is 'Toxic' by Britany Spears and #2 is 'Yeah' and #3 is 'One call away' but chingy.....and I know that there even more amercanised then Taiwan......so yeah!

lol...la...i was just looking at your sig...and remember when you made that thread about if its a gurl or a guy...and it turned out to be a dude...lol

i think the whole world is becoming going through californication....america is mos def winning the cultural battle...

The whole world is definitly taking example on the American model. I'm not sure it's good, I mean, every country should keep their culture, coz if it was everywhere the same it would be bleh ! But as long as I know, there is nothing to stop this, without sinking into extremism which are very bad.
I don't think anti americanism is a good solution, on the contrary since i like so much your country, but I think each place should keep its identity.
Lol, now I think I'm a lil off the topic.
For culture here in France we got everything from USA. TV show (for btvs that's good but for reality shows I would have prefered not having these stupid things).
In music, we still have lots of american's influence, like Evanescence, Likin Park, Eminem, Jlo, beyonce, Britney & all of this, but we still have "our" musical french culture. like popular singers in here. Most of them are unknown abroad tho, lol, ever heard of mylene farmer or kyo ? I guess not, ha haha
Ok, 90% of the french singers s*cks according to me, but some are good.

I guess Polish teenagers are under American and British cultures' influence in both pop and classical culture..American and British bands, singers are really popular here, but still first 3 places are taken by Polish rappers(they suck-lyrics are mostly bout nothing and they are not handsome as some of yours🙂)We kinda 'adopted' Valentines Day and we are in process of adopting Halloween too.In cinemas we mostly have American movies and some other European ones too,but they aren't blockbusters most of the time..

Dunno what else is there to say..Just ask🙂

I couldn't help much on the cultural issue. America is supposed to be a mix of all cultures but many Americans know the least about different cultures...
