The slayer herself has admitted that Joss had planned far more for the finale of Buffy. Read on which scene was not shot.

DRE: Were you happy with the way Buffy ended?

SMG: Yes and no. I believe the finale of Buffy should have been two hours. I think a lot of the characters, specifically Xander, didn’t get enough screen time. But I loved the idea that she was going full circle and sharing her power. I know some stuff had to get cut like a scene where I was walking down a hall in the high school having flashbacks so it was fun seeing all of us from eight years ago.

yeah I remember Joss saying he cut that scene do to time, I hope they added it to the S7 dvd, wouldve been intresting to see which scenes they put in there. And we couldve seen how much all of them evolved and changed from those years.

Cut scene from Chosen?

i wanted to no if anyone had the cut scene from chosen when Buffy has flashbacks...on mp3 or w/e

Don't think its been released or anything, I presume its just been left on the cutting room floor as they say.

There were a few cut scenes/moments in Chosen. Giles smoked just before the final battle, and offered a cig to Principle Wood.

I have the shooting script kicking around here, I will have a look to see what turned out different

I think it was a joint. :bandit:

If anybody has the book Chosen it might have cut scene in there I am not sure. As episodic books usually have cut scenes left in them.

Like Welcome to the Hellmouth etc.

i have not seen it but i really want to. *sigh* yesterday on t.v i saw the trailer for that season on dvd, it was sad thinking we dont have anymore buffy seasons to look forward to on dvd. Next up: Angel season 5

i wish that scene hadn't been cut, it couldn't have been beautiful. true, it wasn't necessary in the strictest sense, but it could have been beautiful 🙂

i agree because afterall it was the last ep of btvs! i see why he cut it not really needed!

I think it should have been two hours long at least, so they could of had more of the scoobies on screen without the potentials, i think the flash back scene so should have been in it, cus that would of been so cool, the way it ended where it began and all. and flash backs are always good! i think that would of made me cry more, remembering all that they went through, it probably would of made it more real that it was ending cus i was in denial about it, that would of brought it home to me that it was gone, forever!

I agree with Spudd168 110%. I would have loved a two hour series finale, and the flashback scene would have been really powerful. I cannot believe they cut it. 🙁

I really liked the way it was ended but I don't want it to end I've loved the shows so much and it is not the same watching the rerunds everyweek.

Do you think there is really a Vampire Slayer?

It's not needed. But tons of stuff isn't need in the show, that's not the point. The point is to tell a story and Joss wanted Buffy to have memories in the hall and they were cut. It makes me sad.

I agree, Chosen should have been longer, they could have done a lot more with the other main characters.

Saying that Chosen was a fantastic episode and a great season/and series ender.

OH MY GOD!!!

if she had flashbacks, then it would've been so much better

the series finale was just rushed

I'm middle of the road when it comes to the finale, but I agree with ProphecyGirl any more sentiment and it would be borderline cheesy for me.

There were two parts that had me weepy, where all the potentials around the world were activated and the final moments between Buffy and Spike, and its no secret that the latter Spike was not one of my faves, but that moved me.

I don't know about anyone else but I was having those flashbacks myself, from all my favourite memories over the year. I prefer to have them happen naturally than to have them instigated for me.

I can see why some would have liked them but for me i'm going with a no to flashbacks.
