Dana The "psychotic" vampire slayer in season 8?

To my knowledge this isn't discussed but i may be wrong so feel free to move/delete.

So just re-watched Angel's season 5 episode "Damaged" and at the end Andrew and his army of 12 slayers take Dana "the psychotic slayer" because of order's from Buffy the would help her. So I have a question because i know it's a thought of mine since season 8 of Buffy, who would have liked to see Dana in season 8 of Buffy? And I wounder if they just kinda forgot about her?

I would have liked to hear more about her. her story line of such a horrific past and then becoming a slayer was interesting. it'd been nice to have her rehabilitate herself andbecome a great slayer. I don't know maybe I just see that.

What's yalls opinion?
 
It could have been an interesting addition to the cast in s8, but I think they pretty much stated at the end of 'Damage' that she was a lost cause. Spike said something along that to Angel.

I mean... She was crazy, both because of her horrible experience when she was a child, but also due to all the Slayers' memories she had swirling in her head. Do you really think someone could have brought back some sanity into her?
 
Well, season 8 is....18 months after "Chosen," I believe. And "Damage" took place in January, which is roughly 8 months after "Chosen." So, "The Long Way Home" takes place in November, which is 5 months after "Damage." I think the chances of us seeing Dana if/when she could appear would have a lot to deal with her progress. If they were able to rehabilitate her, then she could appear again, although I don't think she could be battle ready...ever. Obviously girl can fight, but almost like how they didn't want Faith seeing any action after accidenly killing the Mayor's deputy, I think the same rules would apply.

Personally, I love her story line and would like to see her again, however I feel like she was a one-shot character for Joss & Co.

In all honesty, I don't think Cain will ever be put into any of the comics. He's not that bad ass if you ask me.

I would have loved to have seen Dana in s8. Here's hoping for s9 eh? They could totally add to her story.

Dana is probably at that same "facility," or one very similar, that the retrieval team had intended to take Faith to after she came out of her coma. Also, Dana is probably under very close, probably drug enforced, restraint, and that she will, sadly, never again see the light of day unless by some miracle she regains her sense of reality. Under those circumstances, given what has been going on in Season 8 so far, it would be highly unlikely that she would ever be mentioned unless some it were to mention some change in her condition. Given the fact that Season 8 has only a couple of issues to go, I would be highly surprised if she shows up this late in the story.

However, having Harmony, Drusilla, and her show up as an evil triumvirate in Season 9, the equivalent of Warren, Andrew, and Jonathan from Season 6, only with vampire or Slayer powers, respectively, might be interesting.

Yeah I think Angel and Spike both knew she had a long road ahead of her, not just because of her own personal issues but because of all those she has hurt and killed. At some point she will remember them and be forced to deal with the fact that she became a killer just like the monster that tortured her so many years ago. That being said I don't think that she would have been given up on. IMO there are a number of people that would have fought for her....Angel, Buffy, Giles, Willow, Faith to name a few.
 
I definitely would've like to have seen her in season 8. With all the Wicca Slayers, there's a lot of magic going around, & I think rehab would definitely be a possibility, although really tough. It'd make an interesting story for season 9. She didn't ever show up in IDW, did she?
 
I wonder what her social abilities would be like. I don't think she trusts ANYONE. She wouldn't trust those who try to help her, she wouldn't trust Buffy. Well, maybe she would, but not so early. It's not just her sanity, it's also her interaction that needs to be rebuilt.

And am I the only one who sees a little Faith in her? I think they could have gotten along well. Don't know why, but I think they would be able to understand each other. But don't ask me why!
 
I would love to see Buffy take her under her wing to help her find some peace. It seems like a total Willow, Faith or Angel thing so it would be great to see someone else help her. Twist the redemption story on it's head a little.
 
I don't want to see her in Season 8.

I thought she was a brilliantly set up character, but I think she would need allot of story to clear some things up, both about her past and present, and Season 8 couldn't have justified that in.

Wasn't it planned to have her come back in season 6 of Angel had the show gone on?

Maybe a 1 shot about her would be cool before bringing her back.
