Sigh... I hate using the combo names.

I thought I'd give this 'shipping thing a try. I got to the part in the comics where Dawn and Xander were smooching. I think it's sweet.

Then Buffy was trying to profess her feelings for him, most likely because every guy must be for her 🙄 but she could genuinely have feelings for him. I know there are many fans who like Buffy and Xander together but I think Dawn and Xander are better. They're sort've on the fringe of things, in a way.

Anyway...yeah.

I always wished Buffy and Xander would get together, but I think in the comic he says something like 'yeah, but you had to through being gay to get to me' that I agree with. As for Xander & Dawn that's just BLECH to me, it's like Cordelia/Connor, Xander was like a big brother/father to her and now they're smooching?!

Cordelia wasn't herself, so there was an excuse there. How big is the age difference between Xander and Dawn? I'm not clear on that.

It is weird, IMO. They were like Brother/Sister.

But, I don't like Bander either because I LOVE their friendship. I think they're way better as friends.

Well if you asked me about it then obviously I would have been completely grossed out. But now that she's in her late teen's/early 20s, that much of an age difference shouldn't be a big deal.

Well, the age difference isn't really what grosses me out, so much as what their relationship was; brother/sister.

It's just weird to me.

Dander, all the way. I don't have a problem with the age difference. It's just 6 years. About the brother/sister thingy, Dawn is not a kid anymore. She's a little woman now. I love how they're both have no superpowers and understand each other. The last scene in Potential is the best. 🙂

And Bander is great as friends and it should remain that way.

As an aside, that speech has always bugged me, Xander says something like 'how much harder it is for the rest of us' which I just don't agree with. Buffy's life was 10 times harder than anybody else's on the show in terms of what she had to go through.

I think it's his opinion. It's hard to be someone who isn't special and no-one notices you. Well, maybe 'hard' is not the right word.

And he would never truly understand how hard Buffy's life is. Only Buffy, herself(or possibly, other Slayers), knows it.

Yup! And the brother/sister argument can be made for Buffy and Xander, too!

Bander right now. I don't dislike Dander but like other people have said, Dawn and Xander have a brother/sister relationship and not so much a dating or flirty one. Also it might me be just me or my sister, but it's alittle obvious that Dander isn't going to last.

I've been a Dander shipper since 'Potential'. Dawn had shown us in that ep what she would be like when she was an adult, and she fitted perfectly with Xander in my eyes.

The age gap is the same as it is between Buffy and Dawn - five years. People think it's weird because they grew up together, or because Xander 'babysat' her, but there are a lot of successful couples out there with the same background. It's not so weird for me.

I hope this can be the relationship for Xander that sticks. He's carrying on his tradition of falling for supernatural, or soon-to-be-supernatural woman, but Dawn's a little more normal than Anya, Cordelia or Faith, so I hope he gets his happy ending.

That's actually around the time I began to like her. I like her a lot even more in the comics...mostly because there's no Michelle Trachtenberg. 😛

Meh, I never liked the thought of Xander and Buffy together. I've liked Dander them since the "You're extraordinary" moment. I don't think I'm at the kissing part in the comics yet but now I'm excited for it 🙂

Ok honestly I never liked Buffy and Xander not one bit I always thought Xander and Willow were cute until Oz came around and then I thought Cordy and Xander were cute (I didn't like Xanya much) and then about the end of the 6th season I thought Xander and Dawn would be cute together kind of...then Potential came around and i was like Oh yeah totally cute, then thanks to Jess i've totally become a Dander shipper.

In my opinion I dont really see what is so creepy about them as a couple seriously. Its not like they have this big huge age difference seriously ok say she was 14 when she came on the show and he was like 20 thats only what 6 or 7 years? I mean come on Buffy dated both Angel and Spike pretty much who were like much much older and dead... at least Xander is both alive and in a decent age range. As for the crap about him being like a big brother to her, yeah sure so what? They aren't actually related for one, and for two I know a lot of people who have fallen for their best friends little sister or brother, it happens a lot in the world. One minute the little sister or brother is just that, and then the next they are grown up and that relationship changes.... I don't really see a creepy factor myself but to each their own.

I think they make a cute couple I really haven't gotten to this part in the comic series but I still totally ship Xander and Dawn completely. They are just too cute, they both have this like understanding of what its like to be just normal, no special powers and yet to still fight along side these people with superpowers. They have this connection that was bound to become stronger.

Totally agree!! I used to be a hardcore Bander fan, but after seeing all the Dander moments in the show, I thought "How cute if Dawn and Xander got together" 😀
