"Dark Angel" Series

I just ordered the box set of "Dark Angel" from Amazon.Com. I've never seen any of the series, but a friend recommended it to me. Does anyone know anything about the series? Have I made a terrible mistake? (It's great to be having these thoughts after the fact, isn;t it? As Faith might say, "Want...Take...Realize too late that you screwed up!" I hope not)
 
I have both seasons and they are good esp S1's last two eppys, never in my life have I wanted to see S2! Anyway apart from the Max/Logan angst it is worth a look. The difficulty is I can't say too much cos I may spoil it for you, best to watch and then make your mind up about it. Max's emotional struggle and her strive to take care of her "family" is well played out but that's my opinion.
 
I think it´s ok. But It´s been a while since I watched it. The second season wasn´t as I thought it would be, which made me feel less of it. I´m not sure it means it worse, just different from expectations. And I liked the first season enough to buy both seasons and I´m glad I did. But it´s not the first one I pick up then I want something to watch. Having Jessica in the lead doesn´t hurt either.
 
I thought it was a darn good series. A little post-apocolyptic-esque depression going on which had a tendency to get me down a little, but the show itself was great. Very Take-Back-the-Night Kick-Butt-Whilst-Looking-Good and all of the storylines and the entire concept in fact is very believeable. I was hooked after one episode so I definitely don't think you've wasted your money.
But like Angel's Vision said, it's hard to say much without spoiling for you...so, guess we'll just have to see what you think when you start watching 'em.
 
I liked it, but I've only seen season1 (I'm not even sure s2 aired here)
well, like the others already said, not much can be said about what's it about without major spoilers.
What I can say about it though, is it's science fiction so I'm pretty sure you could like it.
 
I vaguely remember watching this show when I was, like, 15. It seemed like it was alright at first and then got shitty, so I just stopped watching.
But, I was 15. 15 years olds have horrible judgment. Also, I was taking lots of drugs at the time.

I'll give you my take on the series.

Pure love! One of my favorite shows that I haven't watched in a long while, yet will always remember. I loved it.
 
I really liked the show, and I own both boxsets. S2 is better than S1 in my opinion, but that could be because of the amazing Jensen Ackles as Alec. He's really good in the show. S2 isn't as focused on Max (Jessica Alba) as S1 was, which makes it more open to a wider range of fans, I think.

Plus, Ex-WWE Diva Lita makes a guest star in the finale of S2. It was during the shooting of this episode that she broke her neck...a stunt woman dropped her on her head! As a WWE fan, that was the best episode.
 
I remember catching eps on tv when it aired and really liked it, but I think it ran at the same time Buffy did or something so I never watched alot of it. Liked what I saw though, would like to see the whole thing through now....
