Two different action shows, both featuring women in the lead role, both compared in one way or another to Buffy. Which do you prefer?

I've enjoyed both, but I have to say that say that "Dark Angel" was more to my liking. (It seemed that every episode of "Alias" involved a variation of Jennifer Garner running down a slightly different hallway)

Which do you prefer?
 
I prefer Alias, Jennifer Gardener is hotter than Jessica Alba!!!!!!!!!! Also there is more seasons of Alias.

But where talking about female leads where's the best female leadr ever? Lucy Lawless - Xena

Alias, I don´t even have to think about it. The characters appeal to me more. Dark Angel has nothing compared to Sark. Sloane is good and all (and creepy) but I just love Sark. As a character, don´t get any ideas now. And it has Lena Olin, yummy mommy. And there is also Marshall, Victor and Will. Dark Angel has Alec and Logan (but since MW is way better in NCIS you get disappointed then you watch DA again) and that´s about it. But you´re right about the running.

It´s not that I don´t like DA, it´s just that in my opinion Alias is better.
 
Alias is one of my favorite shows ever. It's so detailed with family history and betrayals and I loved the characters (especially Sark!). I also loved all those costumes Sydney wore.
 
I love both Dark Angel and Alias...but, Alias is by far the better show for me.

Alias is much more than Jennifer Garner running down hallways. It's one of the best shows to air on TV in the last decade, in my opinion. It's a very smart series, well-written and well-acted, but at the same time it has a sense of humor, and doesn't take itself to seriously, and can be campy without going too far over the top. It's also very complex and intriguing, with great story arcs, great characters you can really get into, and it even has an interesting mythology you can get into.

Dark Angel was a lot of those things...but I just don't think it comes close to Alias. And I personally find Jessica Alba more beautiful than Jennifer Garner, but that's about all it has on Alias.

On my list of all-time favorite shows, Alias is #4. (The rest of the top five in order: Lost, Angel, Buffy, American Gothic)
 
I've watched both shows, like many here. Alias was the first show that I ever bought all the seasons at one time because it just hooked me in. The acting is great, the casting was phenominal and the stories, while some far-fetched, were great. There are so many things I can say about Alias but a lot have already been said. One thing for me, is Lena Olin, Victor Garber, and Jennifer Garner being the Bristows...great casting there. One of my favorite things about Alias is that it has one of the best family relationships on television, past or present: Jack and Sydney Bristow. That father-daughter relationship is so great and so well played out!
 
I defnitely preferred Dark Angel. Alias seemed a tad repetitive in my eyes. Now I'm not saying that's true, that's just how I felt about it. Dark Angel felt more...well, active. And in the first season I was practically on the edge of my seat with curiosity and anticipations as more of the back story was revealed.

And there was Alec. ::sighs, perhaps even drools:: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I adored Jenson Ackles long before he was Dean Winchester. Just don't tell the hubby. 😉 Haha
 
Alias was great!! I loved the different outfits and costumes she got to wear. Plus I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Garner. But I'm a sucker for supernatural type TV shows, so Dark Angel appealled to me more. I was gutted when it finished. It had great tension between Max and Logan, I loved all the characters, especially Alec! I thought a third season would have carried on nicely. The world finding out about the soldiers was a very good cliff hanger!!
