The "Supernatural" thread is getting so much response, I just thought that I would start one for this series. (For you ladies who have a crush on Dean in "Supernatural," he played Alec several years earlier in Season 2 of "Dark Angel."

The title character, Max, was played by Jessica Alba, years before she went blond and became such a sex symbol. Max is, in my opinion, probably the best thing that she has ever done. Max is one of a group of young men and women called "Trans-Genics," test tube babies who have been manipulated on a cellular level to be super soldiers, faster, stronger, more intelligent, better trained, and better motivated than normal humans

The show only lasted 2 seasons, and it shared several plot elements with Buffy, especially in the second and final season, so much, in fact, that more than a few people consider it a Buffy rip off, though I do not. (It did help ease my Buffy withdrawal pains, however, after Season 7 concluded) Anyone who has never seen or heard of the show can find it available on DVD fairly reasonably, as well as it is available on several legitimate web sites. It's well worth the effort to find and watch.

I haven't seen it in years. I always intend to do a marathon watch of the seasons, but I never get around to it. I guess I'm afraid I'll find that I no longer like it, since I was just a kid when I feel in love with it.

I really liked Max and I thought Alec was cute, but needed to get his a** kicked a lot.

I really don't get how it can be called a Buffy rip off? What do they shows have in common, expect having two strong female main characters?

I used to sit up and watch Dark Angel at night when I was in school. I had such a crush on Alec on that show, he was so cute. Also Max is a pretty awesome character.
I'm still disappointed that it ended so soon, i think they could have done a lot more with it.

I remember being interested of Dark Angel because James Cameron was involved somehow.

Think I saw the Pilot or some of the first episodes but never managed to follow it on TV, like I never manage to do.

Would still love to watch it, should get it on DVD.

Dark Angel was one of my favourite TV shows and I still hold the point that Jessica Alba forgot how to act after it ended.

In fact, it's also the reason why I started watching Supernatural because I heard Jensen Ackles was in it and played a pretty similiar character to Alec whom I love. I'm a little sad that the show got cancelled right after they got back to the good episodes. 🙁

I think that it wasn't so much that she actually forgot to act as it was she just doesn't have to anymore. She's got the blond sex pot thing going for her, and it no doubt pays quite well. Really, who watched "Into The Blue" with any real hopes of it being a showcase for both male and female eye candy?

She was actually good in Sin City, and that's the only recent thing I've seen her in. (Besides Into the Blue, but that was for different reasons... =D)

I loved this show, such a good concept and it was just awesome, had an amazing look to it.

Was so annoyed they were asked to tone the America attacked by terrorists stuff done after 9/11, there was a big difference between the first and second season, and allot of people didn't like the changes.

I really liked Season 2 though, I though the whole cult who used selective breeding was a cool idea!
