Do you think Dark Willow (as she was at the end of Season 6, not before or after) would hypothetically have been a match for Glory? Would she even have wanted to fight Glory? Maybe she would want to help her. The possibilities are endless...

We saw in season 5 that Willow was a little or the most effective at slowing Glory down. So I think that, yea Dark Willow would have been a match for Glory. Would she have wanted to stop her? I think it depends on er frame of mind but she did try to end the world so maybe she wouldn't have bothered stopping her. Not sure if she would have helped though, just probably let Glory go about her business. It's hard to say.

A match? She'd mope the floor with her. Glory's strength and general toughness are pretty much irrelevant here because Dark Willow can teleport things. She can teleport herself to safety or just, you know, throw Glory into the ocean and wait until she turns into Ben. It's not even a fair fight, I mean, even Dark Willow's minions are better.

Help Glory? Nah, she'd just kill her, suck her dry of her power or something.

In a fight, I'd say Dark Willow could take Glory. Glory is trapped in a human body. Her strength is purely physical, meaning she's actually just like a human with super strength, like Buffy but stronger. Willow could just make her explode or something.
I can't recall whether Glory had any special abilities, like self-healing powers, for example, but I'm sure Willow could come up with some spell to disable Glory. Maybe teleport her into the sun or something.

See, people say this, but we forget that Glory has super speed. Like Illyria, both would just need to get in tight for a split second and Willow would be finished.

In a stand up, face to face fight, Dark Willow wouldn't stand a chance against Glory. Also, no spell that Dark Willow would ever be able to cast could have permanently stopped her. Assuming that she would be able to transport Glory away somewhere, Glory would just come back, and keep coming back, stopping along the way occasionally to absorb someone's life force, until Dark Willow dropped from sheer exhaustion. Then it would be all over for the witch.

Of course, if Dark Willow could get to Ben before he could shape shift, she could squash him like a bug.

Up close I'd give it to Glory, she's probably the most physically powerful Buffy has ever faced apart from Caleb. Dark Willow gets wiped out.

Any other way it depends on what spells Willow uses.

She can teleport herself but only teleports Buffy and Dawn once, and it takes time, so Glory's superspeed beats it, and all the spells D Willow dishes out seem to be pretty damaging to some extent, but no real 'God killing' spells.

I still think Glory has the edge in a potracted battle, Willow has a bit of a glass jaw.

I think Dark Willow would definitly want to fight Glory anyway, to drain her power or take true revenge on her for almost taking Tara away, depending on how much 'Willow' was in her at the time.

glass jaw bit especially
I think Glory would win. Dark Willow wouldn't be able to kill her, and she'd end up getting exhausted from overuse of magic.

Dark Willow is probably a glass cannon- can dish out huge offense but is fragile on defense. If Glory made it a close quarters fight using her super speed, the fight would be over unless Dark Willow came up with a spell to counter the physical assault Glory would lay upon her.

Mega heep good witch better than a hellgod? I doubt it very much.

I got the impression Glory was severely handicapped by being reduced to physical form (and being away from her plane too) but despite those reasons I would think she would beat Evil Willow, primarily because I don't think Evil Willow's spells were strong enough. She did manage to keep Buffy at bay and away from her for a long time to avoid directly engaging in hand to hand fighting, so maybe the battle between Glory and Evil Willow would take a long time. I feel like I'm missing something though. Interesting question.

Thank you!
Yes Glory was severley handicapped from her change, but Willows magic didn't do much to her even when Willow had help.
If Ben hadn't died maybe Glory would have kept getting her powers back. So if Dark Willow had battled with her would she have faced the stunted Glory or a Glorificus at full strength?

@ Evil UU: Dark Willow has MINIONS? When did THAT happen?

I think Glory would win, and personally I would be rooting for Glory in that fight anyway.

I think he means those eath gloem/zomble things in 'Graves', the ones that Buffy and Dawn fought.
It all depends on strategy and the nature of the spells.

If Dark Willow could keep Glory occupied until the time window for Glory's spell was over, Glory would lose strength. If Dark Willow could keep Glory from recharging herself by sucking power from other people's brains, DW would gradually gain the advantage. Willow was the only person shown to have any effectiveness at slowing Glory down. I am not convinced that Dark Willow had more in the way of spellcasting ability other than what she sucked out of Rack and the magic books.

Glory knew of Willow's ability but did not try to stop her directly. Willow would have to make her first spell count because she would have a big bullseye painted on her if she became effective enough to stop Glory.

Willow was the only Scooby capable of even remotely harming Glory in season 5. By season 6, she's definitely reached another plateau that leaves her season 5 self in the dust.

Glory can take a lot of punishment, but the reverse brain sucking, Dagon sphere and repeatedly being hit in the face by Olaf's hammer were enough to force her to temporarily retreat into Ben, and that was all she wrote. I think Dark Willow is capable of casting enough spells to deliver an equal onslaught of pain, if not worse, and Glory would once again retreat into Ben just to be killed.

Willow would still have to be very careful, as Glory's super speed and strength could prove fatal if Willow lets up for even an instant. However, I think Willow is smart enough to plan for that and would adjust her tactics accordingly. She can fly after all, and many of her spells can be cast from a distance.
